This is a true gem of Halafax! There is absolutely some of the best food I have ever had! My wife had the chicken and lamb kabob, while I decided to try something I had never heard of before. Finding a stew of chicken in pomegranate and walnuts called Fesenjoon (TRY IT!!) I was absolutely blown away. A sweetness that did not overpower and which tinged on tart, a savoryness without being salty, and a velvety sauce. I need more of this in my life! This was followed by a desert of a saffron and pistachio ice cream sandwich which was a thing of beauty itself. It is a small place, but they have big flavor and big hearts! Make time to try this!

Authentic Persian food in Halifax. We got the Shirazi Combo, the lamb wrap, and the Choopan Yogurt Soda Drink. The Shirazi Combo was delicious and featured fluffy rice, chunks of chicken, and a long piece of beef/lamb meat. The Choopan Yogurt Drink was an interesting try as it was essentially carbonated yogurt. Not at all like Milkis or Calpis, similar drinks in Eastern Asia. I would not recommend getting the wrap though as although the portion size was huge and perfect for eating outdoors, the taste was bland. Would definitely go back and eat in and try the other items on the menu.

We had late lunch here, it was a beautiful meal, a small hut restaurant run by an iranian family for 40 years now. Very friendly host. We ordered pilaf rice with meat skewers and another dish with both meat and chicken. There homemade hot sauce and tamarind sauce was the best. Adding to what was the missing ingredient! Must come at least once or like my husband 3 times a week to remind him the barbecue meat of Arabia! Dishes were 17-18 cad each. But worth it.

I had an incredibly unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The food did not resemble authentic Iranian cuisine, and on top of that, I purchased two cans of tomato sauce on sale. When I inquired about the low price, the woman working there explained that they simply wanted to get rid of the inventory. The expiration date appeared to be fine, but after using the sauce in my food, my family and I experienced food poisoning. I retested the sauce and am certain that there was something wrong with it. Despite the female owner appearing kind and friendly, they are in fact dishonest and deceitful. Furthermore, their prices are higher than those of other Iranian stores in Halifax. I stoped shopping from them and I don't recommoned...

The best place to eat tasty iranian food. Very cozy and nostalgic decoration. Warm and kind host, Zahra khanum makes you remember your aunt. The best rice, I've tried in Canada,so fluffy and good looking, delicious Kebab, Shirazi Salad and Dough. The best food in one week vacation for all 9 people in the group. My children finished their food with appetite and they insisted me to put this review as they can no longer make the compliments of their favorite fast food. I wish I were living in Halifax to go there at least once a week. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Definitely come back there in future. Thank you Zahra khanoom , wish you health and...
