My family and I went here tonight around 6:30pm on Halloween night as we are long time great customers and love station six. Tonight however was very different. Upon arrival we were barely greeted by the waitress Leslie. she pointed out she has mopped the floors so we were limited to where we could sit….which is completely fine except a gentleman who was at the bar asked where the washroom was and she rudely said “it’s in the spot where I mopped so I’ll have to mop behind you when you’re done” which made us feel uncomfortable going to the washroom so we didn’t…we order our food and now are the only people in the restaurant. The waitress is sitting at the bar texting and doing her hair the entire time and not asking if we needed our drinks refilled or anything, the pop was so flat it came out looking yellow instead of dark Pepsi brown. My sisters ordered a poutine and the second it hit the table it gave off an awful smell. I reached over to grab a fry and immediately spit it out. They then tried it and did the same, it smelt and tasted sour and was horrible. We have had the gravy and poutine many times and it was always delicious. After the rest of my family finished our meals (still not even once asking if we wanted refills on our waters she was again in the kitchen and walking around doing her hair and texting still) the waitress asked why the poutine was untouched and we explained it smelt and tasted rotten. She very rudely said “we’ll I just had one and it was good sooo… and just walked away” she did take 25% off the poutine, however it should have been free since it tasted so off from what we’ve had before. We go to pay and now the debit machine isn’t working, the waitress huffed and puffed and sighed a million times as we paid becuase the machine wasn’t working making us feel like an inconvenience..We ordered a Mac and cheese to go for my husband, got home and there was a hair in it…this was where I draw the line and decided to write this review. This is our last time ever going to station six from this experience. I hate to write a bad review about a local restaurant but this experience was just...
Read moreWe have gone to Station 6 on numerous occasions before all this happened one of our favs for my wife and myself We are local and live in the area. Always had great service and great portions and enjoy the atmosphere I usually get the same thing Everytime as it’s one of my favourites. Well now with all this going on they are limited open with delivery only on certain days which I understand We decided to order tonight take out The first thing is sign outside states certain hours and free delivery. I called to place my order took a few times to get through. The lady in the other end was pleasant and took our order. Our bill was $82 with taxes but then she informed me we have to charge 15% for tip and the driver Now I always tip and tip very well especially with great service they are going to get above 15% I was ok with this and said thank you Was told food was going to be approx 30 minutes Before 30 minutes went by our food was here super fast and we were happy. Here comes the bad part. As I mentioned our bill was $82 dollars plus the 15% it came out to be approx $98 bucks. Not a cheap bill at all I met the man grabbed our food as we pre paid by CC Brought the food upstairs opened it up Yes everything was there that we ordered Ordered 2 do air dips. They were like soup so watery couldn’t even eat it Then we ordered 2 firehouse chicken sandwiches Sandwich’s look great but we literally had 11 French fries in our take out containers Each one we counted. Then we had a one piece fish with mashed potatoes The fish was the smallest I even seen and the scoop of mashed potatoes was approx 1 in ch by 1 inch very very small portion Now I know things are tough during these times but they want us to shop local but come on Very disappointed nothing like what we get when we eat in Not sure if we will go back and it’s a shame as it’s a place we...
Read moreUnfortunate experience, The server was extremely rude, not just to us but also to others patrons leaving us feeling very uncomfortable. To start, the menu was not up to date and accurate, which left us unable to get our original option, nonetheless she was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of tables and I understand thats a management problem for not staffing accordingly but that doesn't change the fact that as a server you can still have decency when speaking to paying customers. The artichoke dip was delicious but the tacos I had were terrible. The fish was so over cooked and dry, covered in so much coleslaw that this was the only taste to it, besides the cilantro that should have been at least noted by the server (since there's a good chunk of the population that only tastes soap when they eat cilantro). The pork belly taco had potential, if it hadn't been doused in hot sauce that continues to burn my throat long after I ate it, again these tacos were also not on the menu for us to be able to read exactly what was inside of them, so we ordered based off the servers explanation of the dish. Not once were we asked if we wanted water and even when the server first checked the taste of our appetizer (which is the only quality check she made of all the food), she turned around and was walking away before we had a chance to even tell her how it is. The cherry on top though was the fact that after all of this terrible customer service and not so great food, the server automatically added 18 percent gratuity on the bill, for a two top, which is pretty unheard of in this city. The audacity is beyond belief. Will NEVER return. Shame on management for understaffing leading to terrible service and the...
