Unfiltered Brewing — Restaurant in Halifax

PSA: had a horrible experience at a place called unfiltered brewing on north street. My cousin and I, who has a child in a stroller, ordered food at the chicken chop on North ( which was awesome by the way) and had a bit of a wait. We saw this cute place next door that we wanted to grab a beer at while we waited. As we walked in a young patron made a terrible comment about us coming in with the baby, So I went to the server and asked if we were able to stay with the baby. She said yes so I paid over $14 for two beer. As we stayed in the corner quietly the patrons and staff made shroud comments and made us feel terribly unwelcome. I had a sip of beer and got our order at chicken shop and as I came back to get my cousin with her child other rude ass comments were made. Should probably accommodate everyone who comes into your establishment as I am seriously pissed off abot this whole situation and normally like to support local business”. I like hoppys and stouts as much as the next guy but several experiences with unfiltered have turned me off completely. First time I had Flat Black Jesus I thought maybe I'd gotten a spoiled batch because it reminded me of an infected homebrew I made once crossed with olive brine. Tried it again a month or two later and nope, that's just what they're going for. Hops and Dreams was pretty good but I feel like they're a bit of a one trick pony with their selection, considering the strong competition in this town.

The 'bad attitude' they bring is as advertised, a bad attitude. Might be fun if you're 19 and want an edgy taproom to tell your friends about but serious beer fans might not...

As my personal taste in beer runs toward the coppery to darker flavors and colors ;I have tasted the greatest and mightiest of many beers.Unfiltered has reached the pinnacle of taste with their offerings.The Flat Back Jesus stout is taste bud arousing to the max.The Double Orange IPA should have gold medal of extreme tasteyness wrapped around every bottle.They have done it!!A small brewery yet with behemothic ,monumental taste in their beers.If we ever get invaded ,I shall set up my bunker in front of this establishment and fight to the death!!!Enter at your own risk everyone ,because you shall be addicted...
