Arrived there,and was told it would be 15-20 min for 4 of us (my wife and I, and our 2 young kids) - This was today around noon. I saw the back room was empty, and I said that we could sit back there. I was told that a waitress was just starting and they would be seating back there soon. In about 10 minutes we got a table at the front of the restaurant - we were happy about that. Everything else was a bad experience.
We sat down, and looked at the menus. It took about 20 minutes for a waitress to come over, and that was only because I asked one who passed by if she could get our waitress. She said that she was our waitress. We ordered our meal and she wrote it down.
We then waited approximately 45 minutes before the food arrived at our table. Nobody came over to us while we waited, despite seeing that our kids were starting to get irritated.
The food came, and it was missing some items and some things were not right. We decided not to return the food because the kids wanted to eat, and nobody came back to our table, despite me waiving my hands in the air whenever someone looked in our direction. After we finished eating, the waitress came over, and I told her about the food that was missing. She brought it afterwards.
They ran out of white milk before we got there. They ran out of bagels before we got there. They had loads of crayons, but no paper for the kids to use.
The food was mediocre. It was okay. Nothing worth going back for.
I was handed the payment machine, and while I entered my info, the waitress walked away. The machine didn’t work. It took 5 minutes for her to return. Tried again. She walked away again. Didn’t work. Tried a third time, she stayed. She said she would get a different terminal. She did that right away, and it worked.
End of the day, avoid this place if you’re going with kids. Avoid this place if you have to be anywhere on time afterwards. Don’t even bother...
Read moreLet me start off with the positive aspect of the place.... The food is good, real good. Which is ultimately why we have given them now, three chances. Unfortunately, we are out of goodwill and will never return. Reason being? Management/service. Lets start with owners/management.. Each time we have been there, they have been dangerously understaffed. This results in tables not being bused in a timely fashion and as result, not allowing the team to get people in/out as efficiently. In addition, this puts further strain on the existing staff as they are completely stressed (you can see it on their faces) as one looked like they wanted to jump off a cliff yesterday. Heck, we got served our juice in wine decanters yesterday because they didn't have enough back of the house staff either. It doesn't take a restaurant professional to tell you that this place is not managed properly. In fact, if they spent the extra cash on staff (minimum wage I will point out) they could make more profit as they would be able to serve the restaurant at capacity and turn the tables over quicker. Next... the servers... Now I am not sure if this is due to the inept management, but they were very disorganized. Doing laps of the place and not busing tables on their laps, getting orders wrong and messing around on their phones in the back room when there were customers to attend to (every server went on brake at the exact same time). I will give them a bit of leniency is its clear they aren't being setup for success by their leadership and are frankly stressed and exhausted.
Overall: to the management. This place could be an even bigger gold mine if you put just a little competency into doing your jobs. Get your act together as I am sure others have noticed this and it will continue to erode a business with...

We went here (under previous owners too!) And this place has always had a rep for SLOW service. That has not changed.
It took 10 mins for someone to even acknowledge us!!
When the food FINALLY came they forgot the toast. We couldn't get the waitresses attention because she was too busy yapping with people...my hubby had to get up and go tell her (bye bye tip!!).
Also while waiting for the food, there was a large Beetle crawling past me on the wall!!! I'm terrified of bugs so my husband had to get up and kill it. But we made sure to take a photo.
The corner by the front window is covered in cobwebs. That area has not ever been cleaned. I don't know how the health department doesn't see this???
The lamps on the table are covered in dust so nobody's cleaning this place!!!
Every time a business in Georgetown gets bought out. The same thing happens, somebody tries to cost cut and they run it into the ground. This happened to grind burger numerous times!!
That was our last visit!!
At least it stacked the food is fast and the service is fast and its clean!!!
The cleanliness alone in that place Put me off never mind the service!!
And please dont apologize and say come back soon and it won't happen again.... Because if you look at previous reviews from a year ago it says the same thing and nothing's changed.
