Royal Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Halton Hills

Updating on replay from owner: No the attendant did not spray the paper towel with any cleaning solution, I watched her tear it off the roll. No, she did not wash her hands prior to preparing the pizzas after taking my order. The guy that walked in had a popsicle stick in him mouth, put it in the trash and proceeded to touch and cut the pizzas without washing his hands. That is a poor excuse that the previous owner left the establishment in bad condition, as a new owner those issues should have been resolved prior to reopening. Take some pride in your business. My opinion has not changed, I will not be returning or recommending this establishment. Get your act together and maybe in some time I will revisit with precaution.

** Update (Aug 2025) Dropping to one star since we can't put zero. Walked in to place a take out pizza order. I should have just turned and walked out. After placing the order the girl making the pizza dropped the pizza tray on the floor, she picked it up and wiped it with a dry brown paper towel and proceeded to make the pizza (that should have been put to wash). She tell me to go sit in the back to wait. The back area was dirty, looked like aa broom hadn't been passed in weeks. There were blue latex gloves in multiple spots on the floor. Empty beer bottles on tables with fruit flies. I came back to the front and waited. When the pizza were done the guy cutting them touched every piece with no gloves. As he handed me my order he says if there is anything we can do to make them better let us know. I told him first you all need to clean up the place, it's disgusting in here. And wipe down your prep counters. He replied that it where they are making the pizzas. I said I've been in here waiting 30 minutes you haven't had another customer nor has the phone rang for an order. I think you have time to clean up. Maybe that why you don't have many customers. I will not be returning here. Absolutely disgusting. I was reading the inspection notification posted, green in 2 spots and then the spots for food handling, cleanliness, hand washing we all baked N/A ... REALY??? Went across the street to the park. I let the 2 pizzas cool down, open up the boxes and put them out for the seagulls. I was not going to eat or feed that to my kids. ---------‐----------------------------------------

Rob (the new owner) has a passion for customer service. I went there on Saturday night to pick up a Too Good To Go box.

When I got there, Rob had stepped out momentarily (it was 11pm and he was the only person working at that time). But when he let me in and I advised I was there to pick up the 2G2G boxes, he prepped me up some fresh chicken wings.

When I asked if there was any pizza left (as it was end of day), he advised it was all gone. But after I mentioned my daughter was looking forward to pizza, he let me know that he would make one fresh, free of charge if I wanted to wait for 20 mins.

Sure enough, I did.

It was great! The service was great! The conversation was great! I can't wait to go back and order the "Creamy Garlic" pizza.

I tried to do an Uber eats order where I ordered a pizza and submarine. They apparently were out of submarines they called me to tell me to cancel and I stated I should not have to cancel and that they should just cancel themselves and the person on the phone was rude and disrespectful and stated they will just send a wrong order and will spit in my pizza. I asked them if I can speak to the Manager and the person hung up I called back and another person answered the phone I explained to them what happened and basically stated they don’t care. After hearing this I will definitely not go back or ever order from this pizza and submarine place ever again but had to share this...
