A&W Canada — Restaurant in Hamilton

I don’t know what the employees issue was today, but I’ve gotten this A&W since I was a teenager, never had an issue until today. I ordered a teen burger for my father on uber eats, the very specific instructions input in the notes and on the order was “ please don’t put ketchup or mayo on the burger” as my father has a huge dislike for those two condiments they literally make him gag. Anyways, I have done this multiple times and have never had an issue. I had also gotten him a coffee with 2 sugar 2 cream as he’s a coffee drinker. I receive the order thinking everything was gonna be good like it usually is and I open the burger to see there is both ketchup and mayo on the burger. I pull out the “ coffee” to find out it’s tea and there was a little note written on the lid of the tea saying “ good try :l” with that exact face written out and everything. Idk how hard it is to follow instructions or if they were too lazy to follow them but to write good try with that kinda face on it seems super disrespectful as a paying customer just trynna get a burger for my father to enjoy without gagging...

The staff in this location esp the one on the front getting orders is very lazy, super slow.. i went to order an uncle burger combo, (march 15) for dinner ( 6p), 'been on the line for like almost 10 mins with 3 other people behind me and 1 infront of me, theres an indian lady that supposed to get our orders, just kept looking at us,doing nothing, walked back and forth, slowly stacking the cup lids (which is still alot), took time just to rip the plastic wrapping. Then after a few mins called the guy in front of me, then when its my turn she told me i have to wait 15-20 mins. I left and just get chinese food that took me just 2 mins to get my food. And the counter in this location is very disgusting, alot of spills that dried up, didnt even get wiped. (An old guy behind me was very disgusted too and sprayed hand sanitizer on it). I will not try to come back and buy food from this location, if they cant keep the counter clean how much more the prep area in the back where they prepare the food. The staff here obviously has no regard/concern on the business, i feel bad...

My partner ordered 2 snack wraps, a mama burger, fries, drink and a teen burger. We sat in the food court and took everything out the bag, no teen burger. My partner went back to the counter to say he was missing a the teen burger and the counter man told him he was lying. He then gave us a teen burger and you can tell it was old. The patty was cold and they dressed it up to make it "new". The fries tasted like they were cooked before and re heated in the fryer. For how expensive their food is you would think customers would have better service and fresher food.

After the first conversation of said teen burger my partner didn't want to approach the counter again.

I ended up not eating none of the food he purchased. The teen burger was supposed to be for me and I wouldn't consume that, I tasted the fries and knew right away it was re heated.

I went to New York Fries and got fresh fries instead.
