A&W Canada — Restaurant in Hamilton

I am deeply disappointed by the experience I had at A&W Restaurants last night, March 10. I ordered two Mama Burger combos and some additional items via Uber Eats, clearly specifying in my order notes that I required NO ketchup, pickles, or mustard due to a severe sensitivity to mustard.

However, upon receiving my order and taking my first bite, I discovered that the burger contained mustard, which caused me to become immediately ill. Despite being sick for approximately 10-15 minutes, I had to discard the entire order.

My attempts to seek resolution through Uber Eats were useless, as I was informed that I am not eligible for any refund or compensation. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer preferences is unacceptable.

As a loyal customer of A&W Restaurants, I expected better attention to detail and consideration for customer health and dietary restrictions. Paying $30 for an order that not only was incorrectly prepared but also caused significant discomfort and distress is unacceptable.

I urge the management to investigate this incident thoroughly and take immediate steps to prevent such occurrences in the future. Additionally, a full refund for the order in question would be appreciated as a gesture of acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused.

Overall, my experience with A&W Restaurants was disappointing, and I hope that improvements will be made to ensure better service and customer satisfaction...

Went to Toronto for the first time, and decided to stop here for lunch and bathroom break. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Food was mediocre. I've never gone to a place where someone else had to put in a code for the washroom. Not only that, the man who unlocked it was not wearing a uniform and emerged from a booth with a woman (also not in a uniform). This made me highly uncomfortable as this man, or anyone else with the code i suppose, could have walked in while i was alone in the washroom. To get to the washroom, we had to walk passed a man who appeared to be homeless, passed out at a table with drug paraphernalia in front of him on the table and a lighter in his hand. It did not look like he was using the green stuff if you know what I mean. This man was unconscious in a corner table, and was sitting directly across from the man who unlocked the washroom, so they clearly knew he was there. I was so very uncomfortable at this location. Luckily I had my husband with me and he stood outside the washroom until I was finished. Never have I ever felt so unsafe in a restaurant. There were much nicer locations I wish we would have gone to. This experience ruined it for me. If one location can just let something like this happen, how could I trust even the nicest...

2021 takeout New hot chicken sandwich not as tasty as advertised. Hot and I ended up not eating bun, pickles as the bun was too drenched with hot sauce. Overpriced for $9.03 and all you get are 3 pickles, thin fried chicken which was mostly breading, bun, sauce. NOT RECOMMENDED and NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. I would buy just the regular chicken sandwich which is tastier, inexpensive and has mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions than this Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The name is fancy but the overall taste, presentation not appetizing and not delicious. You mainly charged extra for the fancy name, fancy sauce (not good btw) and extra chicken breading. Disappointed with this new product. Your usual burgers are great tasting than these new burgers you come up. I was also disappointed with the other burgers like the Gouda and Havarti burgers. Would have been better If this was a crispy chicken burger (less breading) with garlic aioli sauce with lettuce, tomato,onions. 2022 takeout Chicken strip and fries I was served stale fries and 3pc chicken strips. All for $12+. 2023 dine in Breakfast platter is 👍 good. Glad there's at least an item served that's better than...
