Baskin-Robbins & Kernels Popcorn — Restaurant in Hamilton

We had been going to this location for years but after this business has been sold to a new owner, the scoop size has greatly reduced. But it is more the attitude that irked me.

Scoop must be run through the tub thrice to fill it, and must be at-least 2.5OZ but instead this person miserly scrapes the ice cream and fill it up with "generous air". I mean seriously for $10, you are not willing to fairly sell and deliver the promised item amount and yes cheat..... Businesses do not flourish this way, One makes money and succeed when customers are happy, satisfied and loyal.. so this is not what our experience has been. Save a scoop and a half and built the imaginary empire.

Also, this person was busy chit chatting with other customers who looked like acquaintances while I waited to be attended. I did not see any older staff that used to work here. May be this person is the owner or a partner. Whoever this is, you do not operate a successful business this way, especially ice cream, which is "happiness" and a miser cannot do a good ice cream job for sure.

The older management and staff was amazing and generous. This attitude is disappointing. I am not returning to this location again. I am sure, this place will be loosing more...

As a regular, I went in and got double scoops (a bunch of them) and I noticed all of the scoops that the server put into the cups were fairly small compared to how normally the scoops are sized. Some are not trained properly, or they don’t feel like serving. but it’s a rip off. I also noticed that the server serving us was wearing an AirPod seemed like she was on the phone with someone cause I could understand her language and she was definitely talking to someone but not making it obvious. I don’t remember being on my phone speaking to someone while serving a customer working a part-time, and even now at Full-time work, we are never allowed to be on our phones like that yet alone talking over the phone using earphones or AirPods. Not sure if this is a norm these days at such chains. I’m sure the owner can watch them thru the cameras. Extremely disappointed with the service I received tonight. I paid more for what I actually got. I feel like the server didn’t even try making a proper scoop. I noticed some people commented about the same issue here. It’s sad because not all locations carry my fav flavour but this one near me does. The owner needs to take action over this. Really...

I frequent this establishment on occasions, but personally find them a bit on the expensive side. But they do supply quality ice cream products, and a wide assortment of flavours to choose from. They have cones, sundaes and shakes etc, even popcorn if one wants. On this particular day 05/28/2024 around 8:00 P.M. the place was busy, they had two employees serving the customers. I had ordered the small Rum & Raisin cone and wife ordered a small cup of Chocolate Chip ice cream in dish. The ice cream (Rum & Raisin) was very tasty and delicious (BUT kind of on the small side) for the money. Wife enjoyed the Chocolate-Chip in the dish, but it too was on the small side.
