Charlie's Chopsticks Upper James — Restaurant in Hamilton

I ordered a salmon poke bowl here and waited 20 minutes for them to make it. My friend ordered 4 drinks after me and they gave her the drinks before my food and when I asked the lady who took my order how much longer it would take since it had already been 20 minutes... turns out the food was already done and sitting on the back counter where they prepare food for the past 10 minutes. The lady was wearing headphones the entire time and didn't even hear us when we tried to get her attention. Once I got my food, I left the store and took two steps to my car before realizing they gave me a tuna poke bowl instead of a salmon one. When I came back inside to tell them it was wrong, the man who was on cashier now looked annoyed that I was back. I then checked the price difference on the menu and realized they overcharged me for the wrong order and when I told the server this, he told me they were both the same price when I literally looked at the menu and it was clearly not. He gave me a loonie back when they charged me $3 extra for the wrong order... It took THIRTY MINUTES for me to finally get my food and it wasn't even busy... I am never coming here again, the customer service was terrible, they got my order wrong because the lady who was cashier had headphones in, and they completely forgot I had ordered food so I was waiting for 20 minutes just for one bowl. I would give this place 0...

Today I placed a lunch order through their website for some sushi rolls and a rice bowl. After waiting past the expected delivery time, I tried to call them to see what the status was with my order, there was no answer. I tried calling them five times. No answer. So I drove to the location to find out what was going on and they hadn't even started on my order! It had been placed over an hour ago and nothing. I told them I tried to call several times. The girl working picked up the phone and said it was busy and that's why they didn't get my call? There were only two people working there and no one was on the phone. They also don't have a voicemail set up. She offered to make my food for me while I wait, but I said no because I was on my lunch break and asked for a refund. She told me I couldn't get a refund back to the credit card I paid with and eventually offered to refund me with cash. No real reason for why this happened other than they "missed" my order. Unreal. I can't believe they hadn't even started my order. This isn't the first time I've experienced issues with their online ordering system. They really need to get their stuff together. I don't think I will order from them again. Really...

Ordered a strawberry slushy with tapioca, chicken and kimchi teriyaki rice bowl and the spicy salmon roll on their website. Ordered ahead so that when I got there an hour or so later it would be ready. However when I got to the location, ordered wasn't ready and it took the employees a whole before they could find my order # on their tablet. The roll and bubble tea slushy were awesome. Roll was fresh and tasted great with some teriyaki sauce, and the slushy was delicious, but not tough to mess that up. The downfall was the rice bowl. Chicken didn't even look like chicken. The tiny spring roll was mushy and barely warm. The saving grace was the kimchi, but not sure if it's made fresh or just brought in already made. Overall 3/5. Service was fine, as they made my order quickly and without hesitation after realizing they missed it, but I don't know that I'd be raving too much about this place. It's okay. Not much...
