I want to start by saying this is absolutely NOT the fault of the restaurant, and I take full responsibility for not checking the phone number to make sure it was correct. My wife has the dominoes app which we ordered through via delivery, and I failed to pay attention to the phone number on file. This was an old phone number of hers that she no longer used, however the first theee digits and the last four digits of the phone number on file are the exact numbers of my wife’s current phone number. This is where my mistake came in.
I did not notice the middle three digits were incorrect, and requested a text message prior to delivery as it is late and I didn’t want to wake up members of my household.
The incredibly kind driver believed that this was myself or my wife texting him, and therefore his time and effort was wasted. When I realized the order was cancelled upon checking the app, I immediately had my wife phone them to clarify what had happened. Through no fault of their own, they were lead to believe that we didn’t want the order anymore, and thus cancelled the order after driving all the way out to my address and texting me to let me know they’ve arrived. They did not knock because they were respectful of the time of night, and in no way do I blame them.
The driver and restaurant went above and beyond to correct a mistake that was not a fault of their own. While mistakes do happen, I wanted to point out that the driver was an incredibly kind individual who made sure that we received our order. While I take full responsibility for the mishap, I’m shocked that the person with whom the driver was texting requested a non refund return to the store, thereby wasting the stores time and resources to make a delivery happen, as well as trying to cheat strangers out of a 100 dollar meal. This is a lesson learned.
I wanted to point out that I have always received quality food from this location, that the food is always good, and the drivers always come with kindness and respect. Just like any restaurant business, the drivers and cooks do exceptional work, and have to deal with unkind customers and unfortunately, random people who make their jobs harder. This review is not only a review of the quality of the food, it is a positive reflection of the amazing workers at dominoes, especially in this industry where customers can be cruel. Thank you for giving this married couple an evening to enjoy good food and a movie. I am very pleased with the service and workers. Again, I want to express my sincerest apologies for the mishap.
With good blessings and many...
Read moreI ordered 1 small gluten free & 1 small reg crust. When my pizzas arrived I opened them and instantly realized that they were wrong. I called the store and a young lady who answered cut me off as I was explaining that they were wrong. She continued to tell me she did not make them wrong, did not mix them up,assured me if I eat it I will not get sick, she refused to listen to as I explained that I can tell the difference based on look. She told me if she was wrong she would give me $100 gift certificate. I asked for the manager. She said she will give me a number to text. She was extremely rude and refused to listen. I had to drive to the store to show her receipt of what I ordered compared to what I received. After reading the receipt she argued and said that it was 1 gf and 1 regular. She read toppings out loud and confirmed that she had made them right. So I opened box and showed her what I received. She scoffed and said " so the toppings are mixed up I'll make new ones" . Instead I opted to just take my money back. Her attitude sucks. They wasted my time and accepted no sense of making a simple mistake. Had she listened when I called the mistake could've been corrected quite easily, but she instead decided to basically call me a liar and not even consider that she had...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked in I could feel the calm easygoing vibe the employees have. I was greeted with smiles and attention right away, no cold shoulder while dealing with other orders like we see at popular drive through coffee shops. I had placed a small order and had trouble when my phone died - Jaspreet was very helpful but because my battery was so low there wasn’t anything to be done. Jaz mentioned that although he wasn’t the decision maker, I could likely explain to mgmt the technical dilemma and work it out. I hadn’t planned to follow through as it wasn’t a big deal, however I was in the area today, and in need of some AC (Their Air Conditioning is Glorious by the way, and Free!), so I stopped in. The Manager treated the situation as if it was a big deal and with kindness assured me he’d give it to me no charge.
I must say I was famished and ducked into an alley to devour my free lunch.
Best Crazy Bread I’ve had yet!
…looking forward to eating there again soon - I had started off ‘hangry’, but shortly after was grinning ear to ear, face and hands drenched in grease. If you want satisfying food fast and within a tight budget just take a walk around Mulberry and give...
