My daughter recommended we try eating here, unfortunately I caved, but will never eat at another east side marios. Our server was nice, friendly and very prompt. As for the food, my daughter ordered the penne alfredo with shrimp, my girlfriend ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and I unfortunately ordered the seafood linguine. My daughters pasta was undercooked, lacked enough sauce to keep the food moist. It was more like eating elmers glue. With an added grittiness to it. Almost like the glue was starting to dry. My girlfriends spaghetti and meatballs were absolutely atrocious. She had 1 bite of the spaghetti, and 1 bite of the meatballs. I had one look at her dish and didn't have the courage to try. You could clearly see the meatballs were freezer burned. It looked like the cooks found them under the stove and because they weren't dry enough for them, decided to throw them in the oven a little longer for good measure. Im pretty sure I saw dust when she coughed frantically reaching for her drink to to moisten her mouth after the meatball wicked all the moisture out of her mouth. As for my seafood linguine. What a disaster. My daughter asked me to choke down as much as I could so we didn't leave with 3 uneaten plates ( she gets embarrassed easily) so here we go. I grabbed my fork and dove in. My first bite was linguine and 1 calamari ring. I chewed that calamari ring for about 4 minutes and when I finally pulled it out of my mouth it didn't even have a dent in it!! I wiped it down and had a better look to see what it was. Yep. It was calimari!! I decided to stretch it out to see if it would break. The succker slipped out of my fingers and shot right into my girlfriends chest. Like a rubber band. The best way to describe what it felt like chewing would be; imagine unwrapping a condom from the wrapper, now throw it in your mouth and chew. Bingo!! That is exactly what it was like. Well enough about the calamari. Next I tried the mussles. LMFAO!!! They were just as bad as the calimari. They were by far the most disgisting mussles I have ever eaten. They were salty, gritty, fishy and just repulsive to the senses. I can't say anything bad about the shrimp though. The entire dish only had 2 little pieces. Lol. I will say. It is unfortunate that an "Italian" resturant can't make home made meatballs and cannot cook pasta. Seriously. You will see in my pictures what im talking about. I had to throw some of my pasta in my salad along with my rubber bands, I mean calamari. Because even though I was choking down the single most disgusting pasta dish I have ever had. I wasnt about to eat the uncooked linguine too. Again, please close this establishment, you have no right charging good honest people money for the food you serve. If it was up to me, I wouldn't even serve the starving women and children of nigeria with this food due to the fear of food poisoning. Well. Unless you were just serving them your bread. I felt sorry for our waitress, I know she has a tough job serving this disgraceful food and I can guarantee she hears about it all the time. So on top of the $80.00 rip off bill. I gave her a $10.00 tip. I thought I was being generous, cause I didn't want to pay anything at all. She even asked if We wanted to take any of our full dishes with us. And guess what...
Read moreHonestly I feel bad that I’m even making a review but I like to let people know because I would like to know how places treat people…. Honestly east side Mario’s has always been my favourite place but the last two times I’ve been there it’s been shit survive by their one server… the second time I went I went with my entire family everything seemed okay at first the server I had before came and honestly she made me feel uncomfortable she does not have a good poker face and looked at us so rudely as if she was saying “ugh” I get serving is not an easy thing… but man no one wants to start their dine in like that…. We ordered our foods drinks normally come right away… it took her atleast 10 min to get us simple drinks nothing fancy. Then took her long to bring us bread the first batch she gave us was hard as if it was and old bread that had been warmed up.. we had two toddlers and two teens and one baby with us kids get hungry and fussy we just had no choice but to give them the bread and I kid you not she would go past us and ignore us… there were other couples that got there and we’re getting their foods at it should be… and yet we were still waiting!! Crazy. She brought the salad and it was soggy… was so disappointing because I damn love their salads. We didn’t say anything about it we keto patiently waiting until it had already been 45 min trust me I check how long it had been and still we had no food the kids were just full of bread at this point my stomach was past due I was anoyyed and wanted to not eat anymore… I finally got a hold of the lady and told her to cancel the order because it had been way to long… gave us attitude talked back to my mom because we were all frustrated… then walked away giving us attitude which like common we have every right to be mad… I was fuming to be honest. Then she brought out the food after saying it was ready so my dad said alright fine…. Honestly I wish he hadn’t because the food came out and it was cold and u can tell it was not fresh it was sitting there for god knows how long my siblings and my children didn’t wanna eat it I didn’t wanna eat it… we just asked for to go boxes at this point I was so mad that I had wasted my money here…. And then once we were about to pay the bill the manager comes to talk to us and apologize saying sorry blah blah blah she said she discounted stuff off our bill in kindness to our situation when I checked the bill she discounted children’s dishes two of them to be exact… like please u think that’s enough after I felt racially treated and not properly served and decided to throw us a complementary desert because they knew they messed up honestly … I kept my composure because of the kids but this service was horrible I would rather make the long ass commute to the mountain to go to the other east side Mario’s then ever come here again my sister and my self will be letting all the people in the area not to go here and specially not to get served by that lady… she was so damn rude had to go to the keg after this because honestly I wanted to eat something worth it and be treated accordingly… I hate to be this way but I also don’t think this is...
Read moreokay so ive been here a few times and things have been good, the waitress was great and food was nice. I come here with my friend a lot when we’re home from uni but today’s experience was so bad. First of all we didn’t get even a hello until 15 minutes after we sat. The table next to us, who were seated 7ish minutes after us got served first and actually left before us. The waiter finally came, and was leaning on the booth over us and my friend had to fully turn around in her seat to even talk to him. we finally ordered our appetizers and my friend got garden salad and found bacon in it, thankfully she’s not vegetarian. My soup, that was ordered at the same time came 10 minutes later. i got the Italian wedding soup and it had no noodles, which is not a huge deal, but when I asked the waiter if they had stopped putting noodles in the soup because I wasn’t sure, he said that I “got a bad scoop”. Throughout the night, it was a struggle to even get the waiter to come over to us. He completely avoided eye contact, and we saw him multiple times standing talking to coworkers, and none of the employees would even look at us. Like the way they completely avoided eye contact was honestly laughable lol. When he did eventually come talk to us he kept walking by as he spoke, thus not even giving us the chance to Ask him for another drink or anything. My glass was empty within the first 10 minutes of getting it and he did not ask if I wanted another drink until 5 minutes before we left. When our food finally came, the plates were super hot and he placed them at the very edge of the table so that we had to lift the plates and move them and gave no warning about how hot they were and we burned our hands. We got burnt bread and the bacon for the carbonara was extremely undercooked. We were waiting at the end for someone to clear our plates and we were actually going to order more food but because of how long they kept us waiting probably 20 minutes when we finally saw him again we decided to just get our bill due to the long wait. Before we even got our bill, a gentleman who I believe was the manager actually had to come over and clear our plates for us because they had been sitting for so long. In the past, we have had decent experience here but moving forward, I would not come back or honestly take the extra 10 minutes to go to...
