Recently went with my girlfriend to this restaurant with some of our friends and the food was actually so bomb. This restaurant's food actually tastes like quality food. Usually these days when I go places that used to be known to have good food I often find that the food just isn't same quality and is bland....but this restaurant was actually so good and it's the only Hakka place that I've been to in a while that actually serves flavourful food and I get Hakka food all the time from places like Hakka Hut and some other local places which just doesn't taste the same as when I was younger. I'm from kitchener so it's a bit of a drive but since the first time I went I've been back there again once more because I didn't want to go anywhere local. From what I've been told the restaurant only opened a few months ago aswell so I've gotta say they're already starting off with a strong reputation. I really loved their hot and sour soup, lollipop chicken and their dragon paneer. Their veg Manchurian was super good and flavourful it's probably going to end up being one of their signature dishes. I'm Indian so I love places that actually make flavourful and good food so this is the spot for me man in terms of Hakka. Can't really say much more but honestly whoever is trying to have some bomb food whether its a family setting or with a group of your closest homies try this place. From what I remember they got a pretty nice bar set up too and they got good quality speakers for music which I can definitely see this place eventually doing big group (10-20 people) catering for those who are tryna have one place for the night where they can bring their entire family or friend circle for birthdays and listen to good music and have some drinks and eat some quality food. Sounds like it could be a super lit time if you ask me. Im definitely bringing my family and friends for an outing here on someones...

I hate to do this but I was a little upset the very first time I had hakka I fell in love.. the chicken lollipops were a fave! I love chillie chicken with rice ... I loved everything! Then lastnight I ordered the Singapore noodle with chicken. As soon as I opened it you could see noodles... literally just noodles... I picked out a few pieces of chicken and veggies to mix into the portion of noodles I took. There was maybe at most 2/3 a cup of veggie/chicken. Out of that whole container... it was not mixed into the noodles which makes me believe a small portion of meat n veggie got put in the bottom...covered by noodles then a little few pieces of veggies and chicken were put in. I do not even think I had a one cup portion of chicken in my container. This was alllll noodles so I spent 15.99 on noodles and a few veggies and chicken sprinkled I know what it's supposed to be like this was a rip off... or someone else was filling in... I don't know the portion of noodles to meat and veggie ratio was terrible. Lots of noodles.. so little of the veggies and meat story fry. This was not together I'm totally in the belief that it's seperate and never fully fried together.. chicken wasn't fresh iether. Def was in fridge over night. The only thing fresh was the noodles which are the cheapest part of this fish. Singapore noodles is supposed to be fried together and more equal portions noodles to meat and veggies... I had to pick it out to add to my dish cause all I did grab was noodles. I was also dissapointed in flavour since it's supposed to be rich and flavourful. I was do dissapointed I added salt... more hot chillies sauce.. it lacked alot... I never experienced this before this....

Today we Went to Hakka nation on upper James street with my family for early dinner, and post birthday celebration but was highly disappointed. My wife wanted to try veg momo as she is pure vegetarian, so we ordered along with other items. We made sure by asking the server that it is veg. But later realized it was non veg, since it was covered in red sauce n it was quite sweet it made hard to see n realize it was chicken. We even didn’t doubt as we trusted the restaurant. But later when we realized it was chicken, we cross questioned the staff and manager. There was a lady waitress and instead of understanding the scenario she even started asking us are u sure u ordered vegetarian, do u think they mixed the order? Plz teach your service people to not interrupt when we are talking to manager. You should be sure that the order was correct. This pissed me off. My wife is pure vegetarian and she was very upset and angry as the restaurant hurt her sentiments. She was very upset and the manager later came and just gave an answer, sorry what can we do it’s already consumed and the staff is not here. Plz have some respect and compassion. I will never visit here n nor will recommend anyone visit this restaurant. Any one who wants that they get accurate food should not go here. Thanks Hakka nation for the worst...

I recently dined at Hakka Nation on Upper James in Hamilton, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Food: We ordered Hot Garlic Chicken, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Roll, and chicken noodles and each dish exceeded expectations. The quality and quantity of the food were great, making it well worth the price. Every bite was flavorful, and the spice levels were just right. The Hot Garlic Chicken had the perfect balance of heat and tanginess, while the Chilli Chicken was crispy, saucy, and packed with bold flavors. The Chicken Roll was a delicious appetizer, and the Chicken Noodles was well-cooked with a generous amount of chicken and vegetables. Ambiance & Service: The restaurant has a great ambiance, complemented by soothing music that enhances the dining experience. It’s a cozy spot that feels welcoming and relaxing. The service was also fantastic—Shaheen was our server, and she was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed. Overall Experience: Hakka Nation is definitely a must-visit for anyone who enjoys flavorful Hakka cuisine. With delicious food, a pleasant ambiance, and great service, I’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended.
