Had 3 combo plates, rating all a 0/5. Wheres the authentic chinese taste Shanghai Chinese Food owners??? It was horribly bland and scarce for the price. I would NOT recommend this place!!! Dry garlic ribs extremely dried up, rice was bland, broccoli was warm but almost raw hardly cooked. Breaded shrimp was oily and bland and came with no sweet and sour sauce, sweet and sour sauce itself was not tasty, sweet and sour ribs were tough and oily and over battered. Overall very disappointed. Shanghai owners I hope you take this review seriously because your only hurting your own business if you dont.

Thank you Shanghai Chinese Food again, again and again times over. I have been going here for years. Owner's are wonderful and great food to match! A warm greeting and smiles everytime. Absolutely fantastic food every time. Always hot, fresh, delicious, full of flavour and large portions. A must have! Everything from a last minute dinner, to a full planned out meal. I've ordered in every situation possible from these fantastic business owners and every time it reminds me why I keep going back! Not that I needed to be reminded :)

I’m starting a new trend. Eating for four. Order finger for four. We got the special dinner for four. Yum. Very impressed. Flavourful. Full containers. No crazy amounts of box grease on fried items. Lots of sauce. More soy would have been good but otherwise, bam! Chow mein. Chicken balls. Beef and veggies. Fried rice. Egg rolls. Loved it and recommend. Oops. Forgot about pics until there was only one chicken ball left. The soy sauce on my plate is because I use a lot. The food didn’t come this way. Lol

I had pretty high expectations because the skip score was so high (9) and the egg roll I ate first was good, and I figured because my food took literally 2 hours to come, it would be at least yummy and well cooked . OH MY GOD how could I have been so wrong??? THIS FOOD IS DISGUSTING. Like, disgusting. This was hands down the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The food came completely cold and the meat looked and tasted very strange with a gross and slimey(beef) or extremely dry texture(chicken). The vegetables were sparse and what was there was barely cooked. The BBQ fried rice OMG YUCK!!! This was the worst, I couldn't even eat it because of how disgusting it smelled, the smell being reminiscent of a cross between a dirty diaper and a week old forgotten bag of garbage in the garage. My entire dinner this evening has been an egg roll, the rest of this food will be thrown away promptly. My family is starving after having waited for 2 hours to only receive a completely inedible dinner. After finally reading some of these reviews, I realize I may not even get my $70 back for this order. DO NOT ORDER HERE. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU JUST ORDER A CHEAP PIZZA OR MAKE A GRILLED CHEESE AT HOME BECAUSE YOU WILL BE FAR LESS...

I've been going to Shanghai for well over 20 years. The food is always top quality and very consistent. The Chicken Balls are filled with a large amount of chicken breast meat so the meat to batter ratio is far better than most places. Even the Chow Mein and Rice dishes all have white chicken in them. I highly recommend the Soo Guy which is beautifully battered and deep fried chicken breasts. You can order it with sweet and sour, lemon, Shanghai special, mushroom and almond sauce. Another dish I highly recommend is the Beef with Mixed Vegetables. Their Spring Rolls are the best in the city. The rice paper after being filled with superb ingredients is then battered and deep fried. Super delicious. They have some really great combination plates that are a good bang for the buck. Their service is always fast and friendly. Check out Shanghai and I promise that you will not be...

SERIOUSLY GROSS - FOOD POISONING

My wife and I wanted to try a different Chinese place than our usual to we decided to give Shanghai a try. We ordered sweet & sour chicken balls, jar doo chicken wings, spring rolls, and Singapore noodles.

At first everything seemed fine. Food was hot when it arrived an hour later but the timing was no big deal.

Everything LOOKED fine. But when we tried the chicken balls it had almost a compost type taste. Like the ingredients they used were old and rotten. The spring rolls had the exact IDENTICAL taste. Compost. That’s the only way we can describe it. The Singapore noodles were hot but the shrimp was cold as if they were just pulled out of the fridge and thrown into the noodles. Super gross. The wings were fine.

All in all, don’t try this place. I had to stay home from work today because I’m...
