Miss Lyn's Wings — Restaurant in Hamilton

One star only for the food. Service was absolutely trash. No communication by the associate that was working last night. Placed an order a day before the SuperBowl for 6pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 5:55pm. Upon arrival there were 4 people waiting inside and 3 skip drivers waiting outside. No greeting nothing was even said when the associate looked at me. They kept going to the back and not even acknowledge anyone or give a timeframe when anyone's order would be ready. THE ONLY THING THEY CARED FOR was the skip orders to be processed in a timely manner. I finally told the associate when he came out handing skip orders to the drivers I was there for a pick up that was placed a day before, he said "We are running a bit behind". Still no time frame was given to me. They kept serving skip and I was wondering if they were serving skip how come an order placed a day before for a 100 wings still not be ready. It's now almost 7 o'clock still waiting for the wings an hour of just standing there and missing the SuperBowl. The associate comes out and I have to let him know that waiting an hour for your order that's placed a day before is insane while everyone is getting their orders except me. His response "I will make your order EXTRA SPECIAL". I am in total shock and tell him, brother its not about extra special its about being on time and keeping your customers that are waiting for an hour your number 1 priority especially if they place an order a day in advance. Also didn't remember who I was or what my order was kept asking me again whats your name and order when I was furious. What's the worst is that they actually didn't even start my order until 7pm as I heard them finally start to make my order (as I heard the guy saying to the other guy what type of wings I ordered) when I was upset for waiting 1 hour+ and all the skip orders and customers that were waiting after me were all helped. I told the associate I am not paying full price for the wings after this terrible experience. He gave me a discount and told me sorry about that. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE As they DO NOT care about your time and the service was absolutely the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. The wings are good but not worth the service...

I had recently moved to Hamilton, and my old favourite wing place in Stony Creek shut down a few years ago.

After a series of stressful days, on this particular day I had to drive my mom to the hospital.

I was craving some comfort food in the form of delicious Chicken Wings. I was on Main between Sanford and Wentworth St S, when I googled to see the highest rated wing place near my current location.

Based on the reviews, Miss Lyn's was my choice and I'm glad I went there.

Their breaded wings were nice sized and had the texture and flavours that I was hoping for. I ordered the Medium, with a side of the hottest sauce they had available in a separate container for dipping.

It was a perfect way to control the heat, and the sauce was amazing because it was extremely spicy, but lacked the usual "long and sometimes unpleasant afterburn that many "super-hot pepper based sauces" have. Meaning I could enjoy the extreme heat and eat 10 of the wings without it affecting me for 15 mins later.

I bought 15 wings, so I had a few left over for a nice snack the next day (where they also tasted delicious). So take that into account for the price category I selected.

I had found my new wing place!!

Their staff was kind, atmosphere nice and prices are decent (Chicken wing prices have skyrocketed in all restaurants overthe past 15 years, but these wings were the kind where the flavour and quality made it worthwhile.)

If you are looking for awesome breaded (or not-breaded) chicken wings with a variety of flavour options, this is a great place to try.

I didn't have any sides, but according to the other reviews, it seems like they would also be worth trying, as they reccomened ...

I went here yesterday evening for the first time and ordered 3 lbs of wing in three different flavours. The gentlemen working there informed me it would be 25 minutes as he had to make my wings fresh. I agreed and waited in my car until the wings were ready. The menu indicated the price for 3 lbs was $43 but when the guy rang it up it was $55.60 The debit terminal did not ask me for a tip so I'm assuming the guy did that without telling me. As far as I see it that is theft. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I got home as I was not expecting to get ripped off. When I got home I discovered that one of the pounds of wings was stone cold and the other two were hot. So only some of the wings were freshly made. The wings that were hot were very tasty but the portions seemed small and were more than likely less than a pound. Having been ripped off at the cashier level and been given cold wings after a half-hour wait it's fair to say I will never be going to this place again and I would strongly recommend you...
