The food was amazing.

That was the best pad thai I’ve ever had. Most places overcook the rice noodles, this was cooked to perfection. The way the noodles had a bite to it! It was nice and chewy. The flavour and the portion was amazing. One portion of their pad thai is good for person plus a little bit to take home to eat later.

Personally, I’m cautious with Thai cuisine, I love the flavours but for some reason I get migraines whenever I eat it. But I saw that they had Khao Soi… I couldn’t say no, so I risked it. And I was pleasantly surprised! Now I don’t have to go to Toronto to have some bomb Khao Soi!!

Their chicken skewer with the super yummy peanut sauce..so good! It was cooked well, and it was so soft and flaky.

We also had the crispy spring rolls, the shrimp skewer, the sausage, and the matabak. We tried their Thai iced tea as well!

So if I liked the food so much, why am I giving it a 3/5 stars?

The service.

I’m a server too and so was another person in the group eating with us. I’m kind to my fellow food service workers, it gets super rough sometimes. I make sure to always be nice and say thank you a lot. I get it if people are rude or annoying. But I don’t see what the issue was.

It was Sunday afternoon, we had a group of 7 plus a toddler. Understandably, we didn’t have a reservation, so sure I get it might have been frustrating. We were there a little past 3, and there was no tables taken. We were the only ones there. Before seating she mentioned there’s a reso for 6. No problem, we were actually out by 5:15.

The energy just felt so negative, and as if we weren’t welcomed there.

At one point, the server was asking if anyone wanted a drink, she got to half the table and sighed as she walked away. She got to the POS and shook her head.

After she took orders for the mains, she did have a better energy.

I just don’t know why my family had to experience that. Especially when we had visitors dining with us, and this was the dining experience we had.

All in all, I’d come back. Probably just for...

The food here is really good, probably the best Thai food in Hamilton. The menu is relatively small but the dishes are well-known and expertly prepared. Portions are quite large, which makes the prices reasonable and their menu clearly delineated which menu items can be made vegan and/or gluten free.

Do yourself a favour however, and skip the cocktails. The bartender was not particularly experienced (reading off a menu) and the drinks tasted exactly as you would expect as a result. At $12 each, it’s in your best interest to avoid anything mixed behind the bar.

Service-wise, we weren’t very impressed. I’m always leery of saying service was slow because restaurants remain understaffed. There was one server and they had all of the tables. As a result, there were a lot of delays for us in terms of ordering, and the server was off and running before we have even finished asking for what we wanted.

Service was also slow because of the booming take-out business. Clearly prioritising take-out, this may be a better spot to order from, rather than to dine-in.

Overall, Pintoh is a great restaurant located in the foodie district of Hamilton. It’s a small place, but the atmosphere is great with a modern almost industrial twist on Thai decor. As a small restaurant, there is limited seating so reservations are...

Today i'm not here to simply leave a review about the food, because you would have to be lacking all sense to question the flavour and array of options at this spectacular addition to culinary delights in Hamilton. Let's face it, if you want the best Thai food ever you come to Pintoh! I could talk about the cool vibe that you feel when you enter and there's something about walking through the velvet curtains that makes you think you're entering a speak easy, but no that's not the reason I'm writing this review either. I wanted to leave the readers of this review and the restaurant my gratitude for their accommodating and unrelenting commitment to excellence. Recently I discovered that I can't handle spice (like at all) and i'm still adjusting to that. I ordered the Panang Curry and when it came it was too spicy for me to handle (note: it isn't very spicey to begin with). I let the staff know and explained my issue and they immediately let me order something else. Thank you for how quickly you responded, I'm so sorry I caused this inconvenience and it was my own silly fault. But you handled it swiftly and with an air of professionalism that left me wanting to give them the biggest shout out possible. If I was a millionaire this is where I would have left the staff a ginormous tip. Thank...

I came here to taste Thai food coz I’m really craving. The waitress here is so rude.. from the moment me and my wife arrived here is very unwelcoming. Surely that person doesn’t have any idea of what thai culture is about. Thai people are well known for their politeness and hospitality. Thai people smiles but the waitress here speaks rudely even I asked her with politeness if I can order. I know we came at 12 noon and maybe they’re just starting to open but at least try to be welcoming. It’s a descent restaurant but its not authentic thai dish taste. I hope Chef Keng will personally prepares the food coz I find the Cha Nom Yen too sweet. Normally Thai people will ask you about the level of sweetness a customer prefers. Thai Som Tham Thai taste is not balanced with sour, sweetness and spicy. Laab Mu is Ok (I recommend it here) .. Khao soi is also ok here but its far from Lan Na Taste. Pad Krapao Mu doesnt really taste authentic at all… I hope when I came back here I can really taste thai food prepared by Thai Chef (So please Chef Keng prepare a food for us 555)
