Wow! We absolutely loved our experience here. We were so glad that we chose to explore this spot that we'd never been to. It's such a cool atmosphere, their decor and style is bold, warm, and memorable. Everything we ordered was delicious - it's the kind of place you go to and stay for a long time, ordering lots of different items to try. All of us loved everything we got and absolutely devoured our food. We tried several tacos, all of which we would have gladly eaten several more of. Our personal favourites from what we tried was definitely the fish taco and "the cease and desist" ground beef taco - that last one was mind-blowing. I'd buy a box of ten of those! We also got a delicious bowl of guacamole, which had some great different flavours that we hadn't had in guacamole before but we loved! We thought it might be lemon in addition to the lime juice but we couldn't quite put a finger on it, which made it even more interesting. We were impressed by the whitefish ceviche - it was fresh, light, and full of multi-dimensional flavour. The pitcher of margaritas we ordered was great and not too sweet, which we liked, and paired perfectly with the tacos and ceviche. The atmosphere was so relaxed and welcoming that we quickly felt at home and wanted to just hang out and continue trying more and different types of tacos. Our desserts were also a delicious chocolate and caramel dish that wasn't very sweet, which we all loved! We also absolutely loved our server - she was amazing. She was so friendly, warm, hilarious, knowledgable, attentive and efficient. It was seamless, fun, fast service, she did an incredible job. If we could remember her name we would definitely give her a shout out here. Overall, we would all highly recommend trying out this place! It's automatically become one of our favourite locations in the area and we'll definitely return for so many tacos.

The Mule is a fantastic restaurant situated in the core of hamilton. The restaurant is fully gluten free. Tacos and apps are delicious as is the beverage menu. Our service was impeccable from every staff member that we encountered. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The seating is crowded but it’s part of the charm. King William has some great restaurants and this one of them. The only downside is that it’s downtown hamilton where the atmosphere can be not the greatest. Our appetizers were awesome. We ordered three of them and all three were rather small. The wings were decent , small and not a pound that’s for sure. The queso with chips is the star here. Portions are the Mule are pretty small. The tacos were next. We tried everything at our table including vegan options. The Brussel sprout was a star for vegetarian options. I forget the vegan one but it was ok. The OG fish taco was the star of the table however the amount of fish you get is extremely small. I would say if it didn’t taste so good it would be a real disappointment. Two of our four fish tacos had so little fish that it was comical. The ground meat taco was excellent as was the salmon. The chichirron was really good too and the habanero beef was spectacular. All in all asides from the size they were stellar. The spice level is up there. If you minus the heat it’s still spicy. Do not come here if you don’t like spicy food. A few things about the Mule. You need to book well in advance. This place is busy and although we saw tables available, reservations are tough. Regardless of the portion size for the price I give this place a 5 star rating but it’s so tasty and it’s celiac friendly. I wish more restaurants would use whole ingredients like they do.

First off, I don't typically complain regarding service, but we sat in the back as seen in the photos, it was very dim, nothing really great to want me to sit there again, at least 10 lights out there, service was extremely slow, perhaps due to the fact they run so far for the food,Our food came out so so, after a long while for Luke warm supposed to be ice water Inna dirty jug, I asked to have ice 3 times, I get it your busy amd its far to run, then don't sit people back there or at least have a ice machine or much larger cooler that could easily be put there as there's waisted space to accommodate it. The calamari was litterly a joke, so soft if was gross to eat, tacos were ok, but guys, if your going to serve the tacos, at least make them hot. They put us Inna table of 5 on a table of four setup, place was empty so they could have taken 2 tables and combined them considering the food took up most the table and was hard to move around un cleared tables, 3 servers and hostess walked past at least 3 times and never 1 time tool our very high already stacked plates and glasses, let alone the old side plates. I was at least hoping to have a cold beer that was barley even cold, even that was fine, but again after waiting to have a cold glass of water In a dirty glass turned me right off, there are far better places that do the same stuff, and be sure to check those out. The corn was about the only think ok that we had, but to charge that much for 1 corn husk cut in half? I'd at least hope to get served bit quicker as I'm sure it came out hot from kitchen, but we did not get to enjoy the warmer side of the corn. Decor and ambiance was nice inside. BUT WE WILL NOT BE BACK, And we were told ot was great, but they dropped the ball this time, sorry guy u need to kick it up...

Visited for my boyfriends birthday and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a great variety of tacos and just about all of them were a hit! All of the tacos were $7 and listed my favs below. At the end of the night we got a chocolate mousse cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was so delicious and rich! Definitely made our night, the only thing I didn’t care for was that they have a few different seating areas and the one we were in they pulled the curtain blocking us off from the rest of the restaurant making it hard for us to get the attention of the server (u can see the closed curtain in the video with the cake) We also got a great assortments of drinks and shots. We got WAP Margarita, The Classic Margarita and the Hawaiian Tropic. Also tried all of the shooters something sour, something sweet and something spicy $8 each. A few different tequila shots and then we tried the Party board that came with 3 big shots of tequila lemons, salt and tajin for $20 The oaxacan state of mind with 41-50% alcohol and damn they were good lol $37 THE CEASE & DESIST 10/10 Best taco on the menu. Essentially a basic taco and was not that spicy either GROUND BEEF & PORK, CABBAGE, CHEDDAR, VALENTINA HOT SAUCE, LIME CREMA, PICO DE GALLO + CILANTRO. THE SANTIAGO FRIED CHICKEN 9/10 Second fav taco from here. Really enjoyed it but the chicken was 3 big pieces and would have be more enjoying either shredded or cut smaller pieces. FRIED CHICKEN, VALENTINA BUTTER SAUCE, CABBAGE, CREMA, GREEN ONION, SPIRAL-FRIED CARROTS. THE CARNE ASADA 8/10 Great taco just found it to be a bit dry for my liking could use a bit more of sauce. PINEAPPLE MARINATED BEEF, REFRIED BEANS, CHIMICHURRI, WHITE ONION, LIME WEDGE.

The food here is SO good!! Came for a late dinner with a friend on a busy night, we were placed on the waitlist but didn't wait that long for a table. Service was super friendly and efficient, including when ordering & serving our food, and getting the bill. The seating is a bit squishy and uncomfortable (small tables with hard wooden stools), but other than that it was a worthy dining experience. We tried the whitefish ceviche, Brussels sprouts tacos and pulled beef tacos. Taco orders come as singles (~$5-7 per taco) - the idea there is to allow people to try different tacos (rather than serving sets of tacos which is typical at other restaurants). The ceviche was wonderful! It had a complex flavour melody of tangy (lime), spicy, and sweet paired with just the right texture from the fish. The tacos were simply amazing! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts tacos since usually I opt for meat tacos - I went for it because our server highly recommended it. The sauce base on the beef tacos was also magnificent while the beef was cooked perfectly. I was surprised they don't have dessert on the menu - please bring in some desserts! Highly recommend, great value and will be back to try other menu options next time I'm in the area.
