The portion for the donburi is quite small — the rice only forms a really thin layer, and it’s hard to taste any of the sushi rice vinegar. The rice itself is also a bit hard.
The Hamilton Day Set is good; I love how they include fish that most sushi restaurants in Hamilton rarely offer. However, the sashimi’s fish flavor is quite subtle — either it was poorly cut or not fresh enough, and a few pieces were loose and fell apart. Also, they seem a bit tight-fisted with the soy sauce — the little cup was only about one-quarter full.

Read moreMy girlfriend and I went here and we both love it so much. Great to have a place that is a la carte for sushi. The fish was high quality and every piece of fish was delicious. We got the Neggitoro Don, Salmon Don and the Sakana Sashimi.
Probably the best place to get high quality sushi in Hamilton. I would highly anyone that wants to try good sushi as you can taste quality in their food.

The full size Blowtorched Maccherel was more than I expected. I like the combination with yuzu vinegar.
