Not sure if these other reviews are paid or I just had a bad experience. If I could I would give this 0 stars. Here's an honest review. If your looking for Mexican go to THE MULE it's close by.
After 1 hr I had only received a drink. Which took about 40 minutes to get. I ordered cheese dip my friend ordered salsa. He received his about the same time as our drinks. Mine never arrived. Ordered food a chimichonga (requested no onion or bell pepper) after 1 hr and 15 minutes I recieved the chimichonga. Realized none of us had cutlery so we had to take it from another table. And asked where my cheese dip was. It finally came out cold. Aswell as my chimi having the items I asked not to have.
The response was so you don't want to eat this? Then the manager came over to explain shredded chicken comes with those they can't help that. Which id like to know why the waitress didn't know that. Must not be FRESH
They switched me to grilled chicken which still showed up with peppers I did eat it regardless as it had been over 1.5hrs at this point And it was not busy.
My one friend had received and finished his meal. The other had not even received his at this point. They missed out on selling additional drinks including some costly alcoholic beverages we requested but never showed up as we just stopped caring and wanted out.
The only thing they did fast was bring me a takeout box and accept my money that took them less then 5 minutes once I got their attention
The food was mediocre as best, the service was close to none. there seemed to be lots of stand around and chat time near the drink machines. Which could have been used to ask customers for upsells or get the customers atleast what was ordered. When we were finally finished it was about 2-2.5 hrs. The restaurants appearance is stellar and beautiful I just wish the rest...
Read moreHad high hopes for this place, and was looking forward to writing a good review. Unfortunately what I got they should honestly be embarrassed about putting on our plates. We ordered a thing of chips and salsa (which should be free, but I digress) and then I got their carnitas, daughter got a 2 item combo with two cheese quesidillas and my wife got a 3 item combo with she wanted a chile relleno, but apparently they don't do those anymore so she got two bean and cheese burritos, and a chicken enchilada. The salsa wasn't very good. It was sweet, and too salty. The chips were actually pretty good and tasted fresh made. Their combos were the worst thing I've seen in a long time, and I wish I'd taken a picture. The quesidillas were the tiniest two I've ever seen served at a restaurant, just two small tortillas folder over with a tiny bit of cheese in them. The bean burritos were these two small, dry sorry looking things that were just ridiculous and the enchilada... Oh boy. Very small little enchilada with barely any red sauce on top which the wife described as sweet tomato soup tasting with a tiny bit of UNMELTED cheese sprinkled on top. It was so sad. My carnitas were fine enough themselves, just again a small portion, and the side of beans were all dry and not good. Rice was fine. We also ordered two jalapeno margs which were ok. No jalapeno taste at all and zero spice. Not much liquor in there either. Oh well, was hoping to have found a good new spot but honestly think we would have done somewhere better...
Read moreMy family and I had dinner at Los Mayas in August to celebrate my birthday. We went early on a weekday and the restaurant was fairly empty. I had my son in a stroller and the restaurant was accessible for the stroller. It looked like there were multiple rooms/areas where diners could sit to enjoy their food. We were seated by the large windows which welcomed plenty of natural light. We started with the house made Guacamole which was served in a stone skull bowl! It was easily some of the best Guacamole we have had and our 10 month old loved it too!! Since it was my birthday I ordered a Mango Martini which was so yummy it was hard not to gulp it down! My husband ordered the chicken tamales which were very tasty. I ordered the taco trio (2 shrimp and 1 fish) also very good, though I could have gone for a little more filling besides the protein like a slaw or mango salsa! My daughter ordered the loaded chicken burrito which came with bacon in it. She loved it!! The burrito had a cheese sauce on the side that was not very good, so it was a relief that it was available as an option to put on or not. Although I did not order a dessert, our very sweet and friendly server brought out a complimentary slice of Flan for me since I had mentioned we were there to celebrate my birthday! It was a lovely end to a delicious meal!! My family and I are very excited to return to Los Mayas and try more items off of their extensive menu,...
