Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Hamilton

My wife amd I tried out this restaurant 1 week ago for the first time. AMAZING 👏 SERVICE FROM THE BARTENDER LISA. Today , March 1/2025, my wife ,me and my twin sister came for lunch. Again, Lisa, 👏 amazing service was running her butt off while one of the Managers watched her. Yes, he sat people, but advised them, "she will take your drink order". Really!!! She, as in Lisa was the ONLY STAFF ON YHE FLOOR AND THE BAR. While Khalid watched, and once I awhile brought our food, he did not help at all. He was asked to please go ask the table if they would like a drink..WOW!! that was a hard ask. After ,orders were taken, by Lisa, drinks were served,by Lisa, tables were cleaned, by Lisa, again no help from thr roaming Managet chatting to customers, A TABLE OF 6 WALKED OUT OF THE RESTAURANT. WHY, because the MANAGER WAS TOO BUSY DOING NOTHING TO HELP!!!. I have been in customer service for over 40 yrs, and I am appalled with this person called an OWNER. Yes, the person walking around is an OWNER. Let's put the OWNERS on the floor, serving drinks amd food, taking orders, cleaning tables and serving the bar. Sorry to say, that OWNER, should not be an OWNER. Shame on this establishment to have ONE person doing everything. LISA YOU ARE MY HERO, AND I HOPE YOU ARE GIVEN A LARGE RAISE, and THANKED FOR BEING THE TRUE HERO TODAY AT THIS RESTAURANT. I APPLAUD...

First time customers. Took my 17 year old here as his birthday dinner with family.

We were a table of 8.

No refills offered, 2 orders messed up requiring replace or ignore and accept . We had to ask for extra napkins. Daughter (me, paying) was charged for a Pepsi that comes with her kids meal. Paid over 220$ after tip, to get really effing bad service and mediocre food and nickle and dimed.

We chased server down 3 times for VERY basic things, napkins, rollups, ketchup 🫠🫠

Suicide? wings were absolutely bad. No heat. Suicide? more like Frank's hot + chili peppers. I paid 20$ for 10 "suicide" that had no heat. This actually irritated me the most.

Quesadilla ordered with chicken , came just cheese for 10?$ we had to remind we asked for chicken, for a 9 year old girl, and we waited 15 minutes for the proper order and still had to pay full price. my poor 9 year old was eating apps and fries while whole table ate their food. This is disgusting.

I'll be 100% sincere saying the only thing good that we had out of 220$ were the nachos and angry Joe burgers.

Abysmal service. We won't be back. This isn't a specific sever issue, hence why I tipped. This is piss poor training and substandard expectations of service . I am so disappointed I took my son here for his birthday.

UPDATE I decided to give this place another try based on some recent reviews. looking back on the reviews, half of them are from the same name, or people with the same last name, are they paying people to write good reviews because the real ones are being honest? My wife and I went in, I got chicken tenders, she got a souvlaki bowl. There's no reason this should've taken 40 MINUTES. and my fries were cold. the place was empty, I can't understand that. the owners were just standing around watching the tables, not helping, literally watching... it made me feel like I was being watched, it was a little creepy. After all of that, I've decided we will not be returning to this location. Original post below I was in last Sunday evening with my wife and our friends, the food and drinks were great, our server was fine, but the bartender was very unprofessional. We heard her shout towards our server from across the bar and saying very rude comments about the manager, even calling her an idiot. I'm not sure what the issue was, but being that we heard every word from across the room, I'm sure the entire building heard it. I understand being upset with a manager, but complain about it in the back, not in front of everyone. That employee needs to be dealt with, we felt uncomfortable being there after...
