I think anybody leaving a bad review should pull the cactus out of their behinds. I’ve been to this location a handful of times on a variety of day of the week and time. Tonight in particular was truly above and beyond. It’s becoming rare to be greeted upon entering establishments. That gets you star number 1. I ordered a wrap and they immediately let me know their location does not have a grill that gets you star number 2. Thank you for your honesty before preparing my food, grilling the wrap is not going to make-or-break my meal, nor is it deserving of any criticism. Both employees were friendly without being fake and had great banter with myself and the other customers. It is also rare that employees at chain restaurants are genuinely happy. That gets you star number 3. My last 2 stars were from the end of my transaction. There was a woman who entered the store, clearly a regular. She was also treated with a smile, and an apology for not opening the door for her. She has a walker. NOW YOU TELL ME THIS SUBWAY DESERVES ANYTHING LESS THAN 5 STARS AFTER HEARING THAT. She thanked the gentleman and said “I got it this time, no need to apologize”. THIS. TIME. Read that again, “THIS time.” Both employees were kind, friendly, funny and respectful. Read moreI was first surprised at the gigantic cost for a single ft long sub with a single drink. Just south of 20 but north of 19$. I was a bit miffed but I suppose they mistake themselves for a sit down restaurant with table service. "Whatever the sub is already made" I said to myself as I payed the ridiculous amount. As I sat to enjoy my wealthy meal with my friend I couldn't help but notice a tail flying across the floor behind him. I exclaimed to my friend I think I had just spotted a mouse. As any reasonable friend should do, he didnt believe me. Joke was on him though because the mouse came running back out not long after and he was able to get a good look at it. I was incredulous. How could a mouse so confidently strut the floors of a fine dining restaurant like this place. Now I figured subway would like to know about this, Im sure its well below their standards if they're willing to charge their clients double what their food is worth. You would think the atmosphere matters. But alas. It did not. Cause I still have no response from subway. No follow up. Just a no reply email sent automatically after my complaint. Its been a few weeks now. I figure this one star is well deserved. Incase anyone is wondering. No I haven't ate here...
Read moreI ordered a sub on Wednesday night around 9:50pm, my total was $9.15 and I handed $20 to the lady and then said “here’s the 15 cents”so I would get $11 back instead of $10.85 however, The lady refused to take it and when I tried saying I don’t want the change I want the looney she kept refusing and claimed it would mess up her tills when she had to count them later. In the end i had to take the 85 cents change because I had work and I couldn’t wait any longer. But the fact she refused to accept the money because she couldn’t comprehend that 85 cents plus 15cents makes a full dollar. As I was leaving she asked if I wanted the receipt for the total as if I’m the one that couldn’t do basic math. I ended up losing my appetite from the frustration of the situation and just got rid of the sub after barely eating half. Last night, I took the time to go to the subway near jackson square and walk the 20 minutes back to my job instead of going to this one which is in the same plaza as my work.
Also didn’t affect me but some other people came in after me and she kicked them out saying she was closed when it wasn’t 10pm yet.
