I went in this morning for breakfast with my daughter. I ordered the eggs benedict for myself and the kids waffle for my daughter. I then asked for a SIDE waffle the female server said okay as she read back my order she said eggs Benedict and 2 kids orders of the waffle. I said I just want a side waffle how much would that be she said $10.99 it’s from the kids menu. So I said okay take one of the waffles orders off because I didn’t want to pay $10 of an extra waffle.
The female server came to drop off our food and stated that the second waffle order was coming shortly. I left it alone and thought to myself it’s fine I’ll just eat it and pay the $10.99 because as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry that would just be thrown away.
As I am eating the second order of the waffle the “so called manager” comes up to me and says you’re eating a waffle from the kids menu so I have to charge you as an adult. I was shocked like floored!!!!!! I couldn’t believe he actually came up to me as I am eating the waffle to say that. All I asked was for a SIDE waffle I didn’t know I had to state I would like “an adult size waffle” A waffle that I didn’t even want after because I told the female server to cancel it but when she brought it I kept it willingly to pay.
After the “so called manager” said that comment. The kids waffle comes one piece cut into four. My daughter had one remaining piece I only ate 1 piece outta the 4 pieces of the second waffle so when he said that I grabbed the 1 remaining piece of my daughters waffle that she didn’t eat and added it to my second waffle order making it a full waffle and gave it back to him. I explained what happened that I told the female to take it off but then she brought it anyways so I didn’t bother to say anything. He then said, “well you should have said something before” anyways he took the waffle back. I asked for my bill as I was so upset and didn’t even want to finish my cappuccino. As I wanted to get out of there so fast as I felt so so disrespected and I was disgusted at his comments.
If I was the owner of this restaurant I would be pissed at this “so called manager. Because he wasted food without having too because regardless i was going to pay the $10.99 for it so he basically made the business lose money at the end of day.
The “so called manager” is very unprofessional. He should have just came over and said sorry for next time you will have to pay as an adult if you want an extra waffle. Then I would have said okay thank you for letting me know and they would have gotten their $10.99 instead of taking it and throwing it away and losing the business money.
I will never be back to this restaurant as I have come multiple times and even did a large party there last year. After this experience I have lost all respect for...
Read moreEvery year we visit on New years day for Breakfast and sadly the tradition stops as we will no longer come back to this location. Compared to previous new year days we visited..our regular party of 20 noticed it not being as busy as years past where people would be waiting as there were several empty booths and tables during our dine in visit. Let's start with the menu - nothing jumps off the page anymore for breakfast and the kids were all excited for pancakes when we were told they have been removed from the menu! everyone recieved their food on time and correct except for my parents who waited paitently over an hour for 3 breakfast orders. We saw a server walking over with food and put it on my parents table as they were about to dig in the server realized he brought the food to the wrong table and while my dad was breathing over his plate of eggs the waiter pulled off the food and dropped it at the table right behind them and said it's not for them. after almost 1hour and 15 mins waiting for eggs and bacon it finally came out. I spoke with our server Esther who was very nice and polite and i understood it wasn't her fault because she was just waiting for the food to come out. Kitchen was understaffed. If you are going to be open on New Years day you better be prepared to serve everyone in reasonable time. I asked to speak with the manager to see what he thinks he can do to make things right and he stated "its busy sorry" while we didn't get our food yet. While i called him out on acutally being busy or not having enough staff in the kitchen it became clear it's a back of the...
