Waterdown Memorial Park — Attraction in Hamilton

While the park is a nice little park.....the City Management MUST find a way to keep the bathrooms open on a daily basis....the facility is there, it is just not being managed. Hire a responsible person to "stay inside the facility" for 6 hours a day from 11:00 to 5:00, that would mean the bathrooms would be closed from 5:01pm until 10:59am every day.....BUT it means that the bathrooms would be open 7 days a week from 11:00am until 5:00pm, a total of 42 hours a week during the daily peak times when the park is being used. So worst case scenario a $20.00 an hour job.....$840 a week (two employees, maybe a third as a back up) to split the 42 hours. Good parttime job for responsible retired Seniors. With the amount of money the City of Hamilton wastes on the ride on demand buses ( 4 buses seldom seen with anyone on them) and the fact they sit idling in memorial park or walmart parking lot......I am certain some money can be freed up from the...

Waterdown easter egg hunt was so bad! The weather was horrible! I think it was very unfair of parents to cheat; it became a free for all on our side of the hunt ages 7-12 year olds when all the younger ages and thier parents invaded our aged section to collect eggs. Is there not rules and regulations for a reason? Parents should feel ashamed that they had to travel to all sectioned off areas to get eggs! When they had age appropriate sections for a reason! This was my 1st time at this park so I'm going to try and brush off this bad experience and re-visit this park...

Its a great park to go too. They have baseball diamond, skate boarding area, a park for kids to play, splash pad, lots of benches wide open area with lots of grass. A boardwalk, public washrooms, garbages bins around the park, a big parking lot. Its across the road from fortinos grocery store, McDonald's. I go there every year for my nephews birthdays. If you haven't been you should go. Plus they have a ribfest there in one of the weekends in summer. It's a great park to take the kids or just...
