What a great night… and a Unforgettable Dining Experience at Victoria’s Steakhouse
From the second we walked into Victoria’s Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. The food was outstanding, but honestly, the service and overall experience stole the show.
Right away, we were welcomed with a handwritten note from the staff, which was such a thoughtful touch. It set the tone for the whole night and made us feel like more than just another table. Leah, Taylor, Nicole, and Brenden on the bar all made sure we were taken care of, and they worked together like a real team.
Our main server for the night, Leah, was incredible. She checked in at just the right times, kept the drinks coming, and made sure we never felt rushed. That’s something I really appreciated—the timing was perfect. We had time to sit, talk, and enjoy every course without feeling like we were being pushed out the door. That alone makes this place stand out.
The Food – Top Notch wow!!
We ordered a mix of appetizers, and right away, we knew we were in for a great night.
The Steak Tartare was packed with flavour, really fresh, and had just the right texture. The Beet & Charred Citrus Salad was a great surprise—the burrata made it creamy, and the mix of ingredients worked perfectly together.
Then came the Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and these were easily some of the best we’ve had. Crispy on the outside, full of real crab on the inside, with no filler, and the fennel and grilled citrus remoulade gave them a light, fresh kick. Just unreal.
The Wagyu D’or Bone Marrow was something else. Super rich, buttery, and loaded with deep beefy flavour. The short rib was so tender it fell apart, and the mix of confit onions, taleggio cheese, and truffle just made it even better. Definitely a must-try if you want something packed with flavour.
Then we had the Wagyu, and this was hands down one of the most incredible steaks we’ve ever had. We ordered 4 ounces of Japanese A5 Wagyu, and it was everything you’d expect—unbelievably tender, with insane marbling that melted like butter in your mouth. The flavour was so deep and rich, you don’t even need sauce or seasoning—it just speaks for itself. Every bite had that perfect balance of fat and beefiness, giving it a texture that you really can’t compare to anything else. If you’re someone who loves steak, this is an experience you need to try at least once.
For sides, we went with the Risotto Milanese, which was perfectly creamy with a nice saffron taste—not too overpowering, just right. The Confit Carrots with brown butter and maple were also really good, with the smoked almond crumble adding a great crunch.
Even though we were stuffed, we couldn’t leave without dessert.
The Sticky Toffee Pudding was next-level. Warm, soft, and covered in a crazy good caramel sauce. If you’re a dessert person, this is one you don’t want to skip.
The Cheesecake was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet—just really well done. A great way to wrap things up.
A Cool Surprise at the End
After we finished eating, they invited us to see the kitchen, which was something I’ve never had happen in Hamilton before. It was spotless, and you could just see how much passion the kitchen staff has for what they do. It was a really cool way to end the night and just added to the overall experience.
This was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Hamilton. The food was next-level good, but what really made the night was the service. The staff at Victoria’s Steakhouse didn’t just serve us—they made us feel welcome.
If you’re looking for a top-tier meal with amazing service, this is the place. Hands down one of the best nights out we’ve...

Wow, wow, wow….
I now know what “take my breath away” truly means. By the end of my meal, I was utterly floored.
Tonight, I decided to treat myself to a solo date. I’d been searching for the perfect restaurant all week, thanks to an intense craving for steak. And tonight, my cravings were finally satisfied. From the moment I read their menu online, I had high expectations—but nothing could have prepared me for the extraordinary experience I had.
It all started with a quick phone call: “Hi, will I still be able to dine tonight if I arrive at 9:15 pm? I know you close at 10…” A friendly voice responded, “9:15? That’s fine! Come on in!”
With an empty stomach and high hopes, I made my way to the restaurant. Parking was a breeze—I found a spot on the street close to the entrance, with no fees to worry about. When I walked in, Leah greeted me warmly and seated me at her favorite spot: a cozy booth facing the window.
The atmosphere was perfect—warm and inviting, with just the right balance of space and intimacy. The setting was upscale but approachable, giving off “love at first sight” vibes. From the elegant menus to the charming mini lamp on the sturdy wood table, every detail was thoughtfully curated.
From that point on, everything was sheer perfection. I was treated like royalty, and every moment felt magical.
The food? Beyond incredible. Every dish was impeccably seasoned, bursting with flavor, and felt like an unexpected delight. Here’s what I ordered: • Roasted Beet & Charred Citrus Salad (burrata, smoked honey, pomegranate, cocoa & pistachio dukkah) • Fresh Oysters (three, served with mignonette, hot sauce, grated horseradish, and lemon) • Striploin, 12oz (100% Angus from Penokean Hills Farm, Algoma, Ontario) • Passion Fruit Cheesecake • Earl Grey Tea
I devoured everything but the cheesecake—because that first bite left me absolutely overwhelmed. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were nothing short of transcendent. It was like experiencing a perfect first kiss—intense and unforgettable. I knew I had to pack it up and savor the rest at home.
When it came time to pay, I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the bill was. I’d stopped checking prices halfway through the meal, prepared to break the bank, but it turned out to be worth every penny—and then some.
Key takeaways: • This Hamilton gem is worth its weight in gold. • Leah is an exceptional, personable, and delightful server. Her above-and-beyond service elevated the entire experience. • The kitchen staff deserves the highest praise—their craftsmanship is unparalleled, and every dish feels like it was made with love. • Hats off to the entire team, including the management. It’s clear that this is a place where the staff takes pride in their work, creating an environment that fosters excellence.
Thank you for an unforgettable evening. I can’t wait to...
Read moreWe were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday at Victoria's on Friday evening. Of the party of 6 it was the first time to Victoria's for 5 of the guests. As we were celebrating that evening , we were also taking photos as people would do at celebratory events. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, and were taking photos beside the wall where our table was located. A few minutes into taking photos , a server came over who was not our server for the evening and asked us to stop taking photos as the flash from our phone cameras were disturbing other patrons. She said we would need to take them by the bar, which we now had to get up and walk through the restaurant and maneuver our way through tables to take pictures at the bar located at the entrance of the restaurant. We were quite taken aback as we were seated at the back of the restaurant and again taking photos using the wall beside our table as a backdrop. I was quite displeased with being asked to stop taking photos in a public restaurant that I am paying for a meal just like the other patrons were. The restaurant had no signs displayed that discouraged cell phone flash or photo taking. After the patrons that complained finished their meal, the waitress serving them came back over and apologized for originally asking us to not take photos using flash. She then offered to take photos for us over at the bar. At that point out experience at Victoria's had already been ruined as again in our party of 6, 5 of us were new patrons to the restaurant. A dining experience to celebrate a friend's birthday turned into an experience of disdain after being made to felt as if we were somehow taking up space in a dining experience that was not meant for us . Our group of friends that were celebrating that night have been friends for over 20 years and have dining experiences in various cities and countries together and have never been made to feel singled out as how we were at Victoria's. The food was ok at best and the menu confusing as sides had to be paid for separately. I will say the server assigned to our specific table was great and very attentive to us. This is what you get for "supporting local" I guess. This restaurant is masquerading as a "fine dining" steak house. It is not certainly on how customers are treated. I will not be returning to Victoria's to spend my hard earned money at an establishment that values one type of customer over the other. There are many great restaurants in hamilton and surrounding areas. Spend your...
