Harvey's — Restaurant in Hanover

It's been a long time since I visited a Harvey's, and it seems I haven't missed much.

A family of 5 was there before us, and were adding their toppings. We patiently waited to order, and a staff member came from the drive thru to take our order after seeing us wait for a bit. We order and continued to wait, no big deal. And another gentleman ordered after us. We noticed that our burgers were sitting and waiting during this time. Once the family completed their order, we thought we were next. We were mistaken. The gentleman after us was assisted instead. Once he got his food, we were finally helped. After getting our burgers, which were sitting for a long time, we went to get our drinks. Went for the root beer, but it wasn't coming out. Told front counter staff and they said they would replace the bag. Once they did, I went back for the root beer, but it was too foamy. Finally getting to sit down and eat, we both took a bite of our burgers and found something to be off. We thought it was the sauce and vegetables, but we realized that the burgers were still cold.

The only plus part was the patty was pretty thick. It's a shame we didn't...

Ordered through the drive thru and was asked to pull around to wait for my food. I was parked behind someone who was also waiting. Her food was delivered and she drove away. I watched the same person who drove away drive back after a few minutes and carry her bag back into the restaurant. They gave her a different bag with her order and then proceeded to carry the bag that the woman had returned to me in my car. I know this because I had clear sight lines and watched the interaction. When the bag was delivered to me, I questioned the restaurant employee if it was the bag of food that had just been returned and was told she had been given the wrong order. I proceeded to tell the employee that I wanted to have a new meal made as that meal had been in someone else’s car who drove away and then returned. Was a very tense experience. When we first walked in the door, 8 employees were standing there STARING as though they had never seen a human before?! I used the bathroom prior to ordering, while my husband waited. He said the entire time he was out there waiting for me they stared, we placed our order-someone was being trained totally fine, totally normal. What wasnt okay, they allowed the trainee to sloppily throw the burgers together, if the sauce missed the bun (HOW I DONT KNOW!!) they wouldn’t have her put more on the actual burger itself. Just tried to wrap it up & say here you go. There was 4 people hovering over her & not one of them let her know she wasn’t doing it properly. It’s a shame, my mom worked at this Harvey’s many years ago. Sad to say I won’t be returning.
