McDonald's — Restaurant in Hanover

I want to give the McDonald’s in my hometown the benefit of the doubt, but honestly, I just cant. I have nothing good to say. I am usually someone who goes through the drive thru because I’m just grabbing something quick, but sometimes the lines are just too long and I resort to going into the restaurant to order. Within the past couple of months, I’ve gone into the restaurant a handful of times and every single time I’ve been in there, I hear the manager yelling at their staff who are working either the front counter or the drive thru. Don’t get me wrong, I understand how fast paced this working environment can be, but as far as I’m concerned, under no circumstances should you be yelling at your staff. What are they learning by being yelled at? Yesterday morning I went into the restaurant to order an iced coffee. The manager who I’m referring to was working once again. They had one girl working the front counter. There were quite a few of us customers in the restaurant. I waited over 10 minutes for my coffee, but I was okay with it because the only girl working was trying her best. She was busy. All I could hear in the 10-15 minutes I was in there was the manager yelling at his staff. Ordering them around. Telling them they weren’t doing things properly or good enough. I was mind boggled and so disappointed. The girl working the front counter solo, handed me my iced coffee in tears. How horrible is that. I tried calling the McDonald’s to speak with the supervisor of the store about what I had witnessed. I was told he would call me back. I haven’t heard anything. I am so disappointed in the Hanover McDonald’s. Treat your staff better. Maybe if you did so, you’d be able to keep staff and wouldn’t...

I was there tonight and man has the service gone down hill. I don't expect top of the line service but I do expect a little focus when your working any job. 1st off we waited about 10-15mins for our meal but given we had nothing to do and had ordered chicken items we were fine with waiting, but as soon as we recieved our meals the one manager says "we messed up your one burger would you like to change your burger to crispy chicken or wait another 6 mins" I chose to wait the 6 mins ( or closer to 10mins , but they did offer me a large fry for free as i waited so long ) for my grilled chicken as I planned on letting the kids Play after they ate anyways. 2nd issue we found was they had given my 17month old an empty kids meal box , yes i said empty, aside from the Pokémon cards in the bottom of it WHICH WAS WRONG AS WELL as he's a baby and I had asked for under 3 toy so up I went to ask for his meal (which they laughed about and fixed without argument) I no sooner sat down and realized we had only received 2 of our 4 cups so back I went again. We started to eat and realized we had no forks for our postings so by this time I was slightly irritated, I could of made dinner at home in the amount of time and running around it took to feed my family and it wouldnt have cost me $80.

Not to mention that when we were getting ready to go home I took my youngest into the washroom to be changed but the stall with the change table was "out of service" and locked so I had no choice but to turn around and change my baby in the cold car so he didn't have to ride home in a wet diaper, not the easy dinner night I...

Ok, so a little embarrassing lol, but I come through here almost daily. (Both drive-thru and occasional dine in after riding lessons? Any time I have dined in staff are courteous, food is great, but atmosphere...dont ask. It's either young kids cursing/swearing or running amuck..(twice I've seen young boys pants by friends..awful!!! And nobody that works there puts a stop to it! I had to!!) Not to mention the drink stations have no supplies and seriously dirty!! The tables have remnants of the last diner,and garbages overflowing so much I have no where to put mine!!

Obviously food and service is usually pretty great or wouldn't be there almost daily. The wait times in drive thru often caused.by me pulling up.and having to wait for fresh food...bc they were so busy...for fresh fries and burgers I'm good with that. When I pull away from drive thru and my fries tast like stale cardboard? Crappy and not acceptable!! Thinkg that irritates the most!? I /we all spend so much money when we go to this McDonalds..I order a burger and add shredded lettuce, and Mac sauce and heavy pickles! Can someone please explain why I have to pay a fee for each!? A general standard fee ok..like 40 or 50 cents...a friggen dollar for a few pieces of shredded lettuce!? .50 cents for a squirt of Mac sauce!? Yet nothing for pickles...seriously the owner needs to make that much more on lettuce and sauce....if there was another mcds around here I would try them bc this one has a few things to work on..not to mention friggen 50 cents for sweet n sour sauce.
