Such a cute little bakery! We went into Hope for a day trip, and I saw this bakery listed, and it seemed worth the stop. They have a huge variety of baked goods including cakes, cake slices, donuts, cookies, bars, tarts, breads and so much more! The staff were friendly and helpful - we kept wanting to add more items, which I know can be annoying once you have a box out, so I appreciate that. We tried the orange almond croissant, which has a delicious orange filling and is topped with almond slices and is like nothing I've had before. They had a large variety of donuts, and we tried the raspberry filled, strawberry filled, caramel cream filled, glazed cake donut. The donut dough was well flavored, and the fillings were some of the best I've had. I'm a fan of sugar-coated donuts, so I really loved the strawberry one for that and the clearly real strawberry pieces in the filling. None were overly sweet. We also tried the cheese scones, which are loaded with cheese, and come highly recommended by my husband! We still have a couple of items left to try and can't wait for our next stop out there! Highly recommend stopping by and checking out everything they have!

Disappointing Experience We discovered this bakery through Facebook and were encouraged to visit after noticing the many positive Google reviews. Since we weren’t aware that Hope had a bakery, and usually stop at supermarkets when passing through, we decided to give it a try. We purchased a cookie, a cinnamon bun, a filled croissant, and a sourdough loaf. While we fully appreciate that taste is subjective, we found the overall quality of the products underwhelming. The croissant was unfortunately so hard that we ended up feeding it to the birds. The sourdough loaf, priced at $8.99, reminded us more of supermarket bread in both texture and packaging (sealed in plastic), and we did not feel it matched the premium price point. For comparison, our local bakery in Vancouver sells authentic San Francisco–style sourdough for $6.99, with noticeably better quality. The cinnamon bun and cookie were decent, but again, for the price, we expected something more exceptional. We understand that many in Hope enjoy and support this business, which is wonderful to see. However, based on our experience, the offerings simply didn’t meet our expectations.

(Update - Past Post Below): Not likely to go out of my way to come by next trip - it's digressed. It just felt overpriced and having drifted from the older mom and pop shop it used to be. For some reason, not sure if it's under new management or ownerz or bakers but the donuts seemed to digress, which I've aleays come for. Good cinnamon bun but really expensive and not worth returning for at that price. I wish them well but won't be coming out of my way next trip for it. ... Love this place. I eat a lot of donuts from small town bakeries in the US/Canada: I'm certain I had the best eclair I have ever had here (pretty sure it was real whip cream, not baker's whip cream and it had a very fluffy yeast dough)!

Probably the best apple fritter I've ever had. It has the (IDK), fried, caramelized crunching (?) you expect from an apple fritter but also super soft. And the apple filling tasted particularly good.

Can't wait to try the sausage rolls, they even have a veggie option. Sausage rolls are excellent.

Let me tell you my friends, standing there in the bakery, looking at the pastries, my heart was filled with fear.. In front of me was the pastry of my dreams: filled with cherry pie like filling and whipped cream, topped with chocolate. How many times have you bought beautiful pastries that were terrible? I feared soul crushing disappointment.

But I was actually very good! Tasted as good as it looked if not better. The End - or is it a...
