Just left here 2 mins ago and I have to say that whatever female staff is currently working is the one of the most thoughtless, unprofessional workers I've experienced, which is not my typical experience at Edo. I asked for lots of sauce on my stir fry, and was handed a bag where literally all the contents of my order were COVERED in sauce. I wish I had been bold enough to take a picture before asking her to fix it. Like at least a full scoop of sauce was pouring over the sides of the container and onto my bento box, soy sauce, chopsticks etc underneathe. For a to go order...that I am taking in my car. When I asked for this to be fixed, and questioned why I was handed something so disgustingly messy she literally tried to rationalize it and blame it on me by stating I had requested too much sauce. I asked why that wasn't advised during my order as ultimately they are the experts, I don't know container vs sauce ratios and it could have been my very first visit so how could I know? She said "okay what do you want me to do" rudely before suggesting that she put it in a larger container..I agreed, she switched the container, and everything fit just fine. I pointed out that this container has been available ALL ALONG for her to make the smart informed choice, and that she didn't need to give me something sauce covered and try to blame it on me. She shrugged and said "ok". No accountability or professionalism at all. I'd be retraining this employee on service etiquette immediately. I was left to wipe off my bento container with napkins, she only helped mildly at the end ans didn't replace this container which would have been the courteous thing to do. Normally, I visit Edo's in Vancouver and elsewhere and was only here visiting family. All other Edo's have had the friendliest, most informative, helpful staff and I've had nothing but great experiences so this was very disappointing. Attached is the bento box AFTER I wiped as much sauce off as I could, if you could just imagine that it was pouring over the sides etc. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

I ordered Edo on skip the dishes. They packaged the wrong order, they forgot my water and even though I said no veggies it still had a few mushrooms in it. I also asked for spicy sauce on my California rolls and they put the tiniest dots I've ever seen. I would've payed extra for spicy sauce if it was an option, but it wasn't. The food quality was ok, too much cucumber in the Cali rolls and the chicken was kind of dry. Wouldn't recommend it.the picture below is of my sushi.

Kamloops is so lucky to have an Edo now. This place was our go-to whenever we visited Fort St John from Fort Nelson. To say I was happy when I turned the corner and saw this Edo would be an understatement lol. Have been to the location a couple times so far and everything is how it should be. It’s also a really nice, wheelchair accessible location. My only complaint is that I work on the hill and the location is to far away for lunch...

I may be spoiled when it comes to sushi but I must review this anyways. I tried the Kami combo for lunch today. The spicy tuna would be okay if it didn't taste extremely fishy. It's akin to a canned tuna flavour but raw. The Dynamite roll is okay, if a bit soggy. It did come via SkipTheDishes and the driver took longer than anticipated to deliver it so maybe that affected the texture. The California roll most definitely tastes like they source the imitation crab from a local grocery store. I literally could make this same thing at home. The included wasabi and ginger was SO minimal it seems like an obligation rather than an accompaniment to sushi. The sashimi pieces are SUPER thin too...I was a bit disappointed there.

As for the tempura yam appetizer, the yams are pretty good! I think they sent me a gyoza dip rather than a tempura dip though. If you are getting gyoza, the dip is yummy.

Sorry for the not too flattering review but I'd want to know if I was reading up before trying a new...

Went in for the soup. It's changed to ramen now which overall is okay but the noodles tasted overcooked and starchy, the broth was blah. Use to be really flavourful. The shrimp was blah. Use to have flavor. The California rolls did not have as much mayonnaise sauce which was a nice change but was rolled very poorly which made them fall apart as you grabbed them with chop sticks. Should change back to the original soup. I felt sick after eating which normally doesn't happen. Tables were dirty and the 2 girls at the front counter didn't seem to be to thrilled to be there tonight but there was a group of loud teenagers in there tonight which could account for why. We had to repeat our order a few times. We would go every Saturday for the soup add shrimp and will not go back due to the changes...
