I visited Nandi’s with my family and friends for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. To start with there was just one server for around 20 people(4-5 tables) there in the restaurant. The service was too slow. The starter came after around half an hour of ordering. We were still okay with it until the main course arrived, the karahi paneer was lacking salt and we asked the server for additional salt, she literally took 10 minutes and three more reminders to get us salt, everyone at our table got really frustrated due to that. To top that, when I was having the last few bites of my food, I found a hair in the curry, I showed it to the server and she was clueless and said I will talk to the people in the kitchen. She came back with an answer, we will remove the curry off your bill, that’s it, no apologies, no regret. We even ordered a take out curry which after tasting the ones with our dine-in order, we wanted to cancel, but the server coldly said, it’s already prepared you have to take it. Needless to mention, it tasted the same as in the restaurant, no changes. About the taste: I order Chilli Momos for starters : the only taste it had was sour, the momos were very firm. It was too sour, we still didnt complain about it. The tandoori paneer in the starter was nice and eatable. I ordered Karahi Paneer for the main course: we opted for Indian spicy spice level. The curry only tasted of the whole spices and ginger. It was too spicy to be eatable. We still did not complain thinking of it’s our mistake that we opted for the Indian hot spice level, but we were really disappointed with the server for taking 10 whole minutes to get us the salt. After tasting the curry, we asked the server to cancel the take out order for the same curry, she said the kitchen people has already started preparing it, we told her that if it’s the same taste we can’t have it, she said I’ll ask them to make the curry with medium spice level, however the one we took home and had the next day, tasted the same, no salt and too strong ginger and whole spice flavour. About the hospitality: the service was too slow, I wouldn’t say that the server was rude but she was definitely negligent. Very poor hospitality and customer service. She definitely was burdened with so many guests, should have had atleast one more server on a Friday night. Also, I felt she was spending more time at the back talking to the kitchen people while we were waiting at our tables. And they had the audacity to charges us 18% gratuity for this kind of service. Unfortunately, we did not take any pictures. Reallly disappointed with the hospitality and taste, definitely not...

Amazing Service Our server, Siddhi, made our experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warm approach made us feel right at home, which really added to the experience.
Delicious Food The food here is fantastic! We tried several dishes like Lamb Biryani, Lamb Rogan Josh, Malai Kofta, Chicken Tandoori Momos, and different types of Naan. Each dish was full of flavor and tasted fresh and authentic. You can tell the chefs put a lot of effort into making everything just right.
Desserts - The Star of the Show The desserts were definitely a highlight. The Gulab Jamun Cheesecake was amazing—a perfect mix of traditional and modern flavors. If you like Indian sweets, you’ll love this dessert! It’s a must-try.
Great Atmosphere The restaurant has a comfortable and pleasant setting, making it ideal for different occasions. It’s nice for a romantic dinner but also lively enough for a fun birthday celebration with family or friends.
Worth the Price While the total bill was a bit high, the quality of food, service, and the whole experience made it worth it. The prices match the quality, so it feels fair for a special night out.

Read moreWe had one of the best Indian meals in a place that was largely empty, hence the lower atmosphere score. Only three other tables occupied. Bizarre that bars with burgers were jammed when this gem was so quiet. Kamloops needs to discover this superb restaurant. Aleena, the waitress, was the most friendly, chatty young lady who seemed intrigued that a Welsh couple were in her place. The food ... my word. I have only come near to it in Manchester's Indian quarter. The blend of spices was equisite. Aleena was careful enough to check what degree of spiciness we wanted. A sure sign of a kitchen that cares about their customer let alone their food. These are not just churning out dishes. The aloo stuffed kulcha, recommended by a lovley couple on the next table (all Canadians appear to be the epitomy of kindness), was so good we ordered a second before we finished the meal. The accompanying chick-pea curry was delicious, and the spicy dip had a satisfying after-burn. The Dahi Bhalle (lentil balls in chilled yoghurt and chutney) was something you could gorge on. I had never come across Vada Pav before (a potato dumpling in a buttety bun). Two made for a generous and filling portion. The flavour was not a spice that we recognised and it made you ponder what was happening to your taste buds but by the end of the item I was wishing I had not come to the last mouthful. Palak chicken (with purreed spinach and ginger) was flavoursome and enjoyable, when you got over the dark appearance of it. Kamplooians (if thats what you are) please get down to Nandi's. You will...
