Popped in for a quick 20 min lunch. We mentioned that to the server. It just happens to be Wing Wednesday so we were happy about the 8.99 wings because Firkin has probably the best wings in town. I had the Tomato Basil Soup/ toasted egg salad sammich special. My partner had lemon pepper wings and a soup du jour....which was homemade and delicious. Service was exceptional. The server Kory was in it to win it. 5 star until the end when we were told of the Wing Police Rule. We had beers with lunch and our bill was 60 bucks with tip. But wings on that day are not allowed "to go" if you only have 8 minutes to eat them. Now ...here's my beef. Of course I don't expect a pub to allow crazy wing fiends who prey on Welfare Wing Day to take advantage of a food special. I get that it happens. But we are not that clientele. If I pay for my food legally it's not yours anymore. It's mine. If you want to take it off my bill and keep the food....ok. But if not ...you aren't keeping my money AND my wings. So unfortunately that dropped Firken a star in this review but it isn't the staffs fault. Management should consider leeway on rules that do not include normal lunch customers who simply ran out of lunch break time. The wings were delicious however so credit for credit...

I really do like this pub but ever since BC as announced the new mandatory COVID vaccine started in September 13th for at least 1 dose to enter non essential services. This pub did not ask my table for proof of vaccine passport and I had to ask the waitress and she forgot so she checked ours and half hour later we seen more people entering the pub and we did not see the waitresses or waiters ask other people for their vaccine passport which I didn't really like as I agree and support mandatory vaccines I think it's more safer for only vaccinated people to enter non essential services as they're less contagious and they don't...

I went to this establishment today for lunch with my husband the service was great but there was only one server and the place was packed and I felt terrible for the young girl serving! She was running all around trying to keep up with all the patrons orders and the owner just sat there at the bar as well as went out and mingled on the patio area…. I hope that girl gets paid very well for the stressful workload she has! Was not impressed with the lack of staff at 3pm on a Saturday! It was very busy and I feel the two bartenders who seemed to be able to catch a break could have stepped up as well and helped...
