Lakeside Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Kawartha Lakes

We ordered over 100.00 of food yesterday so truly disappointed My family in Bobcaygeon and ourselves have been ordering for sometime now . We ordered enough food for all of us SO WE THOUGHT 7 people I ordered: Lemon chicken not enough for even 3 Chow mein half a small container we got Chicken balls General tae smallest hardest portion ever Rice pathetic small Shanghai noodles not enough for two And egg rolls which ya cannot mess up Our portions were in small containers now and hardly any in it not enough for 4 people We ordered 6 separate items that we all have had before and was enough always left overs Nope not this time😞 The sauce for lemon chicken and sauce for chicken balls were half full.

It was such a waste of money Unfortunately when changes like this happen people don’t go back. But I would like the owners to know you start cheating out on portions then people won’t be back and we have been here in the community for 50 plus years and are here many many times The taste is good but unfortunately the portions are not enough Not to mention 3 fortune cookies??? I hope the owners will take criticism and change...

More than 10 years of ordering takeout from here (new owners as of about 2 years ago). Was never consistent but usually OK for the most part - NEVER AGAIN!! Last night was by far the worse Chinese food experience of our lives, we are in our 60s. Two dishes not only bad tasting, but the beef & broccoli's meat and sauce was rancid! Spoiled! Disgusting! Could not be eaten, had to be spat it out! The "Thai Style chicken" tasted no different than the rest of their foods, no way Thai by any stretch of the imagination, and the "chicken" was some kind of thin, processed, pale white chewy meat; neither its taste nor appearance could be identified as real chicken and could not be eaten. Unfortunately, we ate a few vegetables out of this mess and are now, since 5 AM are spending the morning jockeying for the toilet with nausea, bad cramps and liquid diarrhea. We ordered a Family Meal for 6 takeout: the only complaint I could make is something tasted off with the chicken balls, but I can't quite explain what - they weren't bad, just off - nothing happened to any of our stomach's though and everything else was cooked to perfection. Sadly I don't have any pics, but other people have posted pics proving they use fresh ingredients. The spiced pork wasn't that spicey but man was it ever so good - just exploded flavour in my mouth with each bite.
