Browns Socialhouse Harvey — Restaurant in Kelowna

I never write reviews, but this place truly deserves one.

I typically avoid ordering from SkipTheDishes because of their poor service. However, since Browns is not available on any other delivery app, and I refuse to order Alfredo from anywhere else because only Browns makes it this good, I reluctantly used SkipTheDishes.

Browns prepared my order quickly, but I noticed that the driver assigned to pick it up drove past the restaurant to an unrelated location and sat there inactive. Then, they started driving to yet another location, even further away. I tried reaching customer service through the app chat, but they either canceled my chat request or didn't respond. After finally getting in touch with someone, we argued for 30 minutes about how it had been two hours and my driver still wasn’t picking up my order. I requested a new driver, but it was a struggle.

Eventually, I received a call from Browns, who informed me that SkipTheDishes had not picked up my order and apologized. It was so thoughtful of them to reach out and take responsibility for something beyond their control. I was able to cancel the order and reorder, letting them know they could just give me the meal they had already prepared from 2 hours ago. But instead, they made a fresh order and even added a free Oreo Jar dessert to make up for the inconvenience. This gesture was so kind, and it really lifted my mood after such a frustrating experience.

If you’re into delicious food and amazing service, I highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely dine in or pick up if you can, as SkipTheDishes' service is awful. I hope Browns will soon be available on more delivery apps because Skip is probably costing them customers who don't want to use...

Went for an early Saturday night dinner. It was an amazing experience. It was honestly the best dining experience I have had in a while. Our server was Cole? And he was so welcoming and the right amount of attentive. He made us feel comfortable and happy. (Sometimes I feel like I am inconveniencing my server by being there and having trouble deciding. he truly let us dine and helped with awesome recommendations) The food was amazing we got the snack nachos. 10/10 - Topping distribution was perfect. Every chip has cheese and fixings on it. (nothing is worse than getting nachos and only a few have toppings on them and you and your partner half to awkwardly share the chips while avoiding the chips with good stuff on it not to seem rude) these nachos did not pose that problem.

The wonton soup was amazing. Best soup I have ever had. Do yourself a favour and get it. Boyfriend got the butcher burger - I can say fries were good (good fries are important) and he said the burger was good.

I got three cocktails the hound and the gimlet were very good. 🍸

The Guinness is the correct tap, and tastes like a real Guinness (like you know when you go to a restaurant you get a Guinness but the tap pours to fast and it does not taste right this place does not do that) these nachos did tap is good.

Also, they have key lime pie on the menu and we all know that’s the only desert worth getting.

My dining experience tonight was extremely disappointing. We specifically ordered chips and guacamole as an appetizer as it is something that should be quick to get to the table, we emphasized multiple times that we wanted it to arrive before our main courses. We were hungry and hoping to have something to munch on while waiting. Unfortunately, despite waiting for quite a while, it became evident that our appetizer was not coming or they would try to serve it at the same time as our main courses. When the waitress brought out our main courses, the appetizer was still nowhere to be found. We had to request its cancellation and removal from our bill. To our surprise, after paying the bill when we examined it, the chips and guacamole were still listed. This led to an uncomfortable situation where we had to approach our waitress and request a cash refund, then wait for her to get her manager and wait to receive the refund. On top of all this, even the quality and flavor of my beef dip was underwhelming. The overall food, service, and professionalism at this restaurant were highly unsatisfactory.

Edited to add it is now the next morning and my stomach is in knots... if you get my meaning, the beef dip didn't taste great and tasted a little off BUT I was super hungry so tried to ignore it still I only had half since I didn't like the flavor...
