I broke my arm here playing tennis. My fault. I will absolutely be back in 6 to 12 weeks. Fantastic recreation centre. Just try not to fall off centre while trying to not hit the player in the next tennis court over with your tennis ball and then stumble back for 12 steps before landing on your outstretched arm. I’m pretty sure Parkinson rec centre had nothing to do with it... My only recommendation would be to install giant trampolines over the perimeter of the entire property and then attach everybody to Tethers. Should solve the issue...

Parkinson Recreation Center offers a full variety of options. There's a large indoor pool, plenty of outdoor space to play soccer or frisbee. There's a large tennis court. There's a fitness center. They have community programs here, you can check out their schedule online or on the boards in the building for dates, times and costs. There are public restrooms and a kid area with slides and such.

Parks are difficult to just rate with stars. So many different people looking for different features. - On the day of my shared photo, my son & I got some sushi, udon noodle soup & visited while we snacked in a beautiful spot. Was perfect. - Please keep it clean! - which can be difficult due to an almost constant light breeze.

Great smaller public swimming pool for myself and 7 year old daughter. Warmer temperature shallow kids pool with lots of kiddie toys to play with, spray tree, and sinking toys to practice head under the water retrieval. Larger pool has scheduled lane swim, slide, rope, multiple size PDFs, foam kids canoes and kick boards plus more items for the kids. Hot tub and sauna looked good; we don't use those. Great life guards that you can talk with for questions and they'll help you get the toys or floats you would like to use. Women's change room has 5 showers in an open shared area; could use some maintenance since not all worked, lots of $.25 lockers, a bunch of change stalls for modest changers, 3 toilet stalls (1 being larger and could fit a stroller or wheelchair). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I prefer the smaller facility and pools over the larger ones because I can be with and monitor my 7 year old more safely and with less anxiety in a smaller people capacity area...therefore Parkinson Rec Centre is always my first choice. Back to swim lessons here...

Great senior oriented recreation center. The pool is set to a very comfortable temperature, the lane swimming is very comfortable and the steam room is wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and signed up for a one month membership. The reception was so friendly and helpful I felt liked I had been a long time member. West Kelowna Urgent Care center are responsible for my acquaintance with this facility and I can not thank them enough for the half price coupon and reference to this great pool. Also visited the senior center and found another new resource I wish I had known about two years ago. This center offers a variety of activities and services for a fee of only fifteen dollars a year. I am joining tomorrow. Anyone who is fifty or older should consider investigating PARKINSION RECREATION...

I went to Parkinson Rec for over two years to primarily use the fitness centre. On more than one occasion I'd find someone so messed up in the change room trying to take a shower or doing god knows what else. I've had the cleaning lady get mad at me quite regularly because I would be using the change room when she "needed" to clean it. Hell, nothing there is ever that clean. The men's bathrooms always had piss all over the seats or worse. As for the fitness centre, it's small, cramped and the equipment is mostly intended for the 80-100 year old demographic. Honestly when I switched to Global right next door I felt like a fool for going there for so long. The price is exactly the same for a month to...
