a drinkable boba tea is above $10, these prices are extreme for a Kelowna business as the best shops in the world are not even that pricy

It is very scary for you to assume who I am. I don't feel safe to go back there next time. I have been all over Asia and Canada, the drinks that you serve were not the finest, you could always improve your prices as well as your drinks. Your profit margins are a lot more than shops in places such as Vancouver, where the rent and cost of operating a business is a lot more than Kelowna on Harvey. You had a total of 2 games that were able to be played and the tables were barely clean. I see your point of being proud of your business and you should be. But with your food prices being so high, it does not have the quality it needs to be to justify the prices. Your service was slow and with the prices, you have enough margin around 75%-90% to be able to hire more staff. As well as having a better atmosphere besides trying to sell plushies for 40% margins. You should invest in some more games to attract more people to your place of business. And being a place of business, just know that you can improve a lot more and if you take advice from your customers instead of trying to only defend, you will be a lot more successful

Read moreToday I went to Formosa with my friends. One of my friend and I got drinks and sat to wait for our other friends. When they arrived we were chatting for just a little bit when the owner came up to us and almost yelled at us with a serious face that their rule (on the table) clearly states we need to get a drink in order to stay. Two people in our group are already supporting his business by buying drinks and tipping him so much. It's just petty that he would publicly confront us like this and not even make the effort to convey himself politely. My friends then went up to the counter to buy drinks. He wanted a coffee which was on the menu. The owner flat out denied that it's a part of their menu. They then proceeded to not call our number and after 20 minutes and we had to go up to the counter to ask for it. We are beyond disappointed at our experience, and even though the drinks are decent we will not be back here again, nor will we recommend Formosa to any of our friends.
update: when we left that day the guy said âthanks Max for the commentâ after seeing his review, and told my other friend to not invite any friends here that wonât follow the rules. To be honest he really ruined that...
Read moreBest boba café in the Okanagan! I have been to every place in the valley and have had bubble tea all over the world, including Xing Fu Tang in the heart of Taipei. Formosa does a great representation. This is coming from an addict with a high turnover punch card and the owner remembers my name lol.
Lots of flavours and toppings to choose from. Love that you can get real tea and fruit mixes on top of the powdered flavours! Coffee and hot boba drinks are available as well for those colder months.
I have been going here for a decade now and they are consistent with quality and quantity. Always a generous amount of toppings each and every time.
Ample seating for a get together for your club, to play the board games provided, or to work and study. Formosa also has a range of ready-made savoury and sweet treats to accompany your drink. We ordered a whole cake from them as wellâa mango creamâand it was so delicious and packed with fruit! Not too sweet and provided something different than your usual special occasion cake.
Washrooms and facilities are kept clean and tidy. Fun selection of merch as well, including drink slings and takeaway teas!
My go-to boba shop...
