Went here for my daughter's birthday. Most of the items were okay. Nothing really stood out as great but most things were okay. There were some stand outs that weren't great. We got teriyaki beef and the meat was very tough to chew, so we ended up leaving it. The beef short ribs were very fatty(and I like fatty), they just weren't tasty. The tuna sashimi tasted like it was just unthawed along with the rare beef slices. But the salmon sashimi was good, my daughter really liked it. There were several items that I enjoyed as well. The service isn't the greatest, they won't give you more than one menu iPad per table. So we all had to converse back and forth trying to find what we wanted and someone always had the pad when someone else wanted to see what else there was. It made figuring out what we wanted to get a long process for all of us. If we asked questions to some of the staff picking up our plates, they couldn't answer our questions. They had to get our server, I assume they either couldn't understand us or couldn't speak English. Even our server didn't know the answers to whether a food item had a specific item in it like chicken or pork. However, our food came out quickly. We ordered a lot at first because we thought it would take forever like the first time we were here and also because it was closer to closing time. Instead it came out fast and we ended having a hard time finishing everything. If you love sashimi or nigri, it is worth it as you can get your money's worth. Although, the quality of the raw fish was not great. I expect that for all you can eat, just keep it in mind. We liked enough stuff that I feel it would be worth returning for. I also like that they are open later. A lot of restaurants are not open until 10pm in town. We got there at 9pm and still had time to get everything we wanted. It cost us $120 for the 3 of us. (Plus tip) That is only the all you can eat, nothing else. Overall I would say it is a good place to try out all you can eat and see if you find enough things you like. We will be back when we have the ...
Read moreFOOD POISONING 🤮 I took my daughter here for a special mommy daughter date dinner. We ordered a heck of a lot of shrimp things. She didn’t end up eating hers because she told me they tasted under done. It’s a good thing she didn’t, either. Because I ate mine. And then some. For the longest time, no food came, we waited about a half an hour, and only got a salad. Then, all the dishes came at one time. The portion sizes are clearly wrong, because when most of the shrimp dishes came it had said (2). Meaning 2 shrimp. Nope. Each plate had 6 or 8. Omg. Then, they tell you if you don’t eat it all, they will charge you for waste. Which is absurd - because they already charge $40.99 per person for their food poisoning - oops I mean “buffet.” We barely left the table when I started becoming ill. By the 10 minute drive home I was violently vomiting, not to mention other side effects. To say the least, we will never eat here again. The picture shows how much food got set down at once after waiting the longest time for nothing at all to come. And, they sat us next to the sushi bar, and while they were putting dishes away for a good 10 minutes, they were smashing things into the wall, which was so inconsiderably LOUD. Most of the staff doesn’t speak English, so asking for specifics like “no fish eggs” or “a side of sauce” took a few people to understand. And in the end, they put the fish eggs on anyways. In summary, don’t bother. It’s not worth the illness that comes with...
Read moreSubpar in every way, but the one star is for the value.
I come from further west, and a sushi place with this quality of food would certainly go out of business; even the sushi places I've vowed never to go back to tasted better.
Service is abysmal; ordering from an iPad is convenient for an all you can eat place, I guess, but it felt as though the servers were passive aggressively tossing me my plates.
Value is worst of all. For what I spent, I could have absolutely stuffed myself at any sushi place back home; I often do, but it never cost me $40! Absolute theft, especially given that anything other than sashimi is guaranteed to be stuffed with cheap filler to fill up overeating patrons.
Miso soup was bland and tasteless.
Sunomono was bland and had undercooked noodles.
Gyozas weren't bad.
Rolls were abysmal. One had tons of panko crumbs inside as obvious filler, and another has some kind of overly sweet berry sauce on top? It completely ruined the roll, but I ate it lest I get charged for uneaten food.
Even the tuna sashimi disappointed; Are they buying discount fish? Salmon sashimi was the only thing that measured up to usual standards back home. I ate a bunch as I cut my losses, regretting having come.
The only reason I can see someone wanting to return is if they somehow can stuff themselves with $40 worth of sashimi! I myself will never return, leaving only with regret and this warning to the uninformed...
