Helmut's Sausage Kitchen — Restaurant in Kelowna

Exceptional service in so many ways! Very friendly staff, and one woman (Wish I asked for her name so I can give her credit - but she's young and has dark brown hair) in particular went above and beyond for me. I was looking for a rare item and though they didn't have it when I went in to the Kelowna store, she called their store in Vernon for me and said if I didn't hear back from her, they were out of it. As a few days passed without a call I assumed they were out, but then I got a call saying they actually had some come into their store in kelowna. So she must have thought of me when the haggis came in, which is very thoughtful and exemplary service!

As for the store, it has a good selection of quality items at reasonable prices for that kind of quality. Everything I have purchased there has been delicious and high quality. Plus they have unique foreign candies and treats as well which have tempted me greatly. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't yet.

I have been coming to this location for a few years. I would order food with the staff. I always struggled with the way the staff is here. There are a few nice employees however a couple others are just downright rude and give you attitude if you don’t say things the way they expect. I raised my opinion about the response I was getting and a lady said to just leave and don’t come back. I am very appalled about the response I received especially after being a customer for so long. One of the staff members was saying that business is slower than usual. Maybe a good start would be customer service. Treat your customers like humans and be nice, have a smile and move on. Helmuts is definitely in my top 5 favorite places to eat in the Rutland area. Best borscht I've ever had, amazing prime rib sandwich, best crunchy chicken burger, so many menu items to name; all so good! The sandwiches are large, and the side of potato wedges are always the perfect saltiness and crunch. Their frozen section is also full of amazingly good meals, made right there in the kitchen. Large frozen soups (their borscht which I always buy a few extra), many different types of bratwurst, pierogies, fresh ground meat, pot pies (full size pie dish), and much more.
