As a Mcdonald's customer for the past 30+ years, a customer that promoted Mcdonald's during high school by purchasing the full outfits, pants, socks, t-shirt, hoodie's and made those outfits a trend at my school because I'm Luvin' it", was how I felt about Mcdonald's... The food, the deserts, the collectable toys, the fun environment. I have a 7 year old son on the spectrum who has severe eating issues to the point of vomiting if he attempts to eat anything outside of his EXTREMELY small list of things he will eat. Its only 6 things and Mcdonald's french fries and Mcnuggets are on that list, but the Mcnuggets must be accompanied with honey sauce. Spectrum kids with severe eating issues need consistency, that is thier comfort zone, one false move and it will with potentially turn them off of what they once liked and the experience will stick with them..(he has to take lots of vitamins, that he hates taking as well as and other forms of and nutritional intake that is a heartbreaking struggle) Over my 30+ years of being a loyal customer, the "customer service" has always been impeccable... Unfortunately that was not the case this evening... I ordered the same thing I always order, a Mchicken combo with coke, (for me) a quarter pounder with cheese and sprite (for my 15 year old daughter) and a kids chicken Mcnugget meal with fries, 2 honey's and a chocolate milk (for my 7 year old special boy)... I had our dinner delivered to the hotel we are staying at, as I have had the flu for 2 days and was unable to drive (even with the flu, Mcdonald's is my go to). When the food arrived i tipped and thanked the driver. He left, I opened the bags for my hungry and excited kids and there was no honey, just a spicy habanero.. So the only thing my 7 year old could eat was the fries, I gave him my fries too, because just fries is not enough... I called the Mcdonald's and kindly told the worker who answered the phone what happened, more so because of the importance of having the order right for my son, that they could make note and try not to let that happen. There was no apology, there was silence for an uncomfortable solid minute or more until I then said "hello"? Then the worker proceeded to rudely tell me that's what I ordered. Twice. I then said "I'm sorry but I would NEVER not order the honey. Trust me I make sure, I said " I'll pull up the order on my phone", she then said in the same rude and dismissive tone, I'm looking at the receipt and that's what you ordered, while i was looking at the same order and mine said 2 honey's EXACTLY the way I ordered it and have ordered it for 5 years... She then said "i have customers to help"... Sad to know that a 30+ year customers upset, and child who didn't get the FULL dinner that was ordered was not a factor to her what so ever. I said thank you I will be contacting head office as your customer service skills and lack of compassion tonight tarnished my "love and trust" of Mcdonald's for me tonight, have a lovely day.... As a business owner myself, who stands behind the service "my customers can always count on and deserve" , she would no longer be employed by me and not only would I be apologetic I would be mortified that one of my customers was dismissed, disrespected and unsatisfied... đŞ Oh and it wasn't till after that conversation that my 15 year old daughter took a drink of her "sprite" and there was no flavor only the "un drinkable carbonated water"... But after that phone call, I wasn't calling back to be disrespected andsismissed again. Very disappointed...
Read moreThere is a worker there named Paige who goes out of her way to talk to the customers and making them feel welcome and asking if there's anything they need while seated in the eating area. My family and I were so impressed with her, especially with how she handled some rude customers at the time. We tipped her $5 but found out shortly after from her she wasn't allowed to accept our tip and that the manager took it from her. We didn't think that was how the manager should have handled the situation. Instead of the manager taking the money away from her and not informing us that the money wouldn't be going to Paige, the manager should have told Paige to return the money to us directly explaining why she wasn't allowed to receive tips. My husband asked for his $5 back from the manager, and the manager explained that if it was under $5, she would have let her worker keep it even though they weren't allowed tips. So we took the $5 back and in front of the manager gave Paige $2 for her outstanding work there. So silly that we aren't allowed to tip someone for going over and beyond what they are required to do. Food there was same standards as any other McDonalds, but our 5 stars goes out to Paige who works at...
Read moreWhat a disappointing meal. I don't think anything can be so disgusting as the meal we had today at this location. The restaurant was closed I guess due to not enough workers. So you had to go through the drive-thru , we ordered and proceeded to the first window which I don't know if they even understood the order it wasn't that hard. I had ordered the new chicken mccrispy and my husband had ordered a quarter pounder no cheese. We got to the pay window and she said no cheese and we said yes no cheese and said something that the chicken had cheese on it which it does not we paid got our order and went and parked. I opened my chicken and was thoroughly disgusted it was an overcooked blackened piece of chicken maybe even a day or two old who knows it was uneditable but I was not able to even go into the restaurant and complain because their door was locked see the photos I have posted. I'm glad this was just a restaurant we stopped in on our way through Kelowna. I think we should have driven to another restaurant instead. The add doesn't even look like the...
