My bro and I visited rustys sports bar lounge and chill for the first time recently and my oh my let me tell you it was ASTONISHING. We casually strutted in and were welcomed by the sweet smell of the classic rustys mamas butter chicken... made by mama herself. We helped ourselves to the pool table #14 across from the darts where young athletes were training for the most important moment of their lives. We watched with antisipation while our emotions were both filled with excitement and fear. Before we knew it, our jug of goose island ipa arrived at our table. We could not wait to take our first gulp of this delicious aromatic delightful beverage...gets better with every sip and could not recommend any more. Before we knew it, Justin sunk the eight ball and i WON!!! To celebrate we ordered the beef dip and the butter chicken to spilt because that's what brothers do best :) The slow roasted beef dip (it takes 1 full day to roast btw) was tender and cooked to perfection. The au ju melted into the fresh ciabatta bun from speciality bakery!! must have been delivered fresh that morning! But let's talk about the butter chicken...this is like nothing i've ever tasted in my whole entire life. The flavours are incredibly balanced. Hope you like a little bit of spice because this ones got a good kick to it! I looked over at my brother justin and he had a twinkle in his eye and he was staring across the establishment. I asked him what's going on in your head justin? and he then replied to me.. i think i found the one. To this day i still don't know what he was thinking but i still have a feeling that he has a crush on one of your servers. I just want to make this clear to parth, we would never disrespect ANY of you or you rustys family. Anyways i don't know which one because they're all beautiful, kind, smart, thoughtful, and all have a great sense of humour. We then took a team bathroom break and walked past the kitchen where we saw all the back of house employees hard at work!! they must all really love their job and put love into everything they do. The food speaks for itself. Thank you ben, parth, and rae for the wonderful one of a kind rustys experience. Will be back for...
Read moreHadn't been here in several years. It used to be one of my go to places for drinks, food and pool. A buddy and I went here on a Saturday recently, at around 2pm. There were only two other patrons and they were playing pool. We stood there for 15 mins and didn't see a single employee. Walked around a bit and still didn't see anyone. Went to the pool table we wanted to use, and waited another 5 minutes before we noticed a young woman coming in, that appeared to be starting her shift. We walked up to her at the bar and said we would like to play some pool, ordered a jug of budweiser and asked for menus. Took about 10 mins before we saw our jug, keep in mind there is only 4 people (including us) in here currently. We pour two pints and begin a game of pool. Well, right away the beer didn't taste right, definitely wasn't budweiser. When we finally see the waitress again, we tell her there is something wrong with the beer and that it tastes funny. Yes, we had drank about half of our pints each as we waited far too long for service. We can hear the conversation the waitress has with the bar staff. They pretty much called us liars and that the beer should taste fine. Why would we lie? We wanted to drink beer. Another staff member says, well they already drank half the jug, yeah we did, but if they knew what they were talking about, they would know that one jug is 4 pints. Anyways, we get our new jug of rustys lager, tasted wayyy better and we were happy.
Their menu is very disappointing, compared to what it used to be. Everything on it was extremely basic with no thought put in to it. Needless to say we ordered two appies instead of meals. We got onion rings and the poppers, which were both very good, the poppers in particular were very tasty. We left after eating, to go eat and drink somewhere with better food options and better service.
Moral of the story? Neither my friend or I will ever be going back to Rustys Sports...
Read moreI was there last night to have supper the waitress had took a while which was all right because she was busy. when she did come I ordered a double Caesar with a lot of ice (I dont like.lots clam) and my husband ordered a pint of bud when she came back it was a bottle of Bud and double Caesar with little ice and I told her that I wanted a ton of ice.... so she took the drinks back. I could see the bartender straining my drink and into another cup and then added more clam and the waitress noticed that there was no ice so she was trying to communicate to the bartender that it was wrong. So the bartender dumped half of my drink into another cup and then filled the other cup with ice... I went over there and said no I wanted a double Caesar with a lot of ice and she proceeds to tell me this is a double Caesar I said no this isn't because the other half is in the other cup and she said well here you have two drinks now and I said are you going to add another ounce into the the one drink to make it double she said no im not about to make me any promo drinks and I said they're not promo when I'm paying for it and a double was what I originally ordered. The drink is wrong I want a double Caesar with lots of ice and she said this is a double Caesar and continue to argue with me .... I finally said ok I dont want the drink we'll just leave. Lol she said fine or ok .. i was annoyed bc she got drink wrong to begin with and didn't want to fix it..... so we left and went to Moxys where the service is always great (trying to shorten the version of dispute of the...
