Mr. Mike’s in Kelowna offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly stands out. The open-concept layout, with its abundance of windows and natural lighting, creates a bright and relaxing environment. The central bar divides the space nicely, with dining areas on both sides, giving the restaurant a spacious yet comfortable feel that never feels restrictive.
From the moment you walk in, the staff make you feel welcome. They are eager to greet guests, kind, courteous, and genuinely pleasant to interact with. What impressed me most was not only how attentive they were with myself, but also how wonderful they were with children. This level of care makes the restaurant feel very family-friendly. A thoughtful touch I noticed was the game shelf, stocked with classics like chess, Snakes and Ladders, and other board games—perfect for relaxing and enjoying quality time, whether you’re dining in or staying at the adjoining hotel. Sports fans will also appreciate the bar area, which features three displays above the bar—ideal for catching a hockey game while enjoying a meal or drink.
As for the food, I ordered the traditional Mike Burger, and it exceeded my expectations. It’s been years since Kelowna last had a Mr. Mike’s, and this burger reminded me why the name is so beloved. The beef patty was juicy and flavorful, served with melted cheese on a garlic toast bun, and topped with their classic Mike Sauce. For anyone ordering this, I recommend asking for extra Mike Sauce on the side—it’s one of the highlights of the meal. My daughter ordered a children’s ice cream sundae, which was equally delightful. It came adorned with cookie crumbles, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and of course, topped with a cherry—a perfect finishing touch.
Overall, Mr. Mike’s Kelowna deserves every bit of a five-star review. Between the thoughtful atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious food, it is a restaurant that delivers on every level. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. I will most certainly be returning and highly recommend that others stop by and experience it...
Read moreWent to Mr. Mikes and was really disappointed with the experience. We waited far too long to get our drinks, and one drink never showed up had to ask a couple times for it. They didn’t have the mushroom caps as they were sold out at Lunch time, or have the mini yorkies at this Location even when they are listed on their kelowna website, which was frustrating. We had to ask multiple times for simple things like refills and extra sauces. To top it off, they charged more money for a child's ice cream from the kids menu but without specific ingredients due to an allergy, I asked why it cost more then the cookies n cream ice cream and couldn’t explain to me why, server offered to talk to the Manger so I agreed, she never came to talk instead she came and gave me the bill, said we took it off the bill, have a nice day. Overall, not impressed and definitely expected...
Read moreIt was only day 4 of this restaurant being open so they still have some things to work out but the service was absolutely amazing. Our server got refills for our soft drinks even before we needed them. The food portions were small though and a little underwhelming. It was $34 for the traditional style 7oz sirloin steak and it was supposed to come with vegetables (plural) but I received 3 broccolini and about 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes (I took a photo of my plate as soon as it arrived). I asked for a medium steak, but it was medium well and well done in some parts. Their garlic fries are incredible though! We also had to wait a long time for the food but that is expected during rush hour of day 4...
