Harvey's — Restaurant in Kirkland

Placed an order through their app at 8.30pm. Said pick up at 8.40pm. I was a bit late and got there at 8.59pm. Restaurant door was closed and had to wait in the drive through line. Spoke to the employee at the order screen and even called them to tell them we are in the line up. Reached the window at 9.22pm. We were then told they are starting our order now and it will take 5 minutes. Received the food at 9.38pm. Burger patties were way overcooked. Everything eas cold. Cold fries; cold, tough and oily onion rings. Orange shake lacked flavour and blue raspberry sushi was not iccy enough. Very bad experience.

Update: after my review above, I was contacted by Harvey's for more details about my experience and they also offered us 2 free meals. The photos I am attaching to this review are from the free meals that we picked up around 6.15pm on Saturday. The staffs were very professional and we could say that they were not giving us any more special consideration than they were giving to all the other customers. Everybody was therefore getting an equally good customer service. Foodwise, we went with the same meals as the first time, with minor tweaks, to properly compare. As we waited for our order, we received our drinks. I requested extra orange flavour in the smoothie and it was more pleasant than the first one. The proteins (beef patties, crispy chicken and chicken nuggets-for the poutine) were already cooked and kept warm. The burger patties were then further warmed up to order on the grill and the cheese added on them. Chicken ones were used as is. First thing we noticed when we got our food- the bag was warm indicating that the food was hot inside. As we opened the bag, was nice to have received napkins this time. The burgers travelled well and looked great as we unwrapped them. The beef and chicken patties were nice and not over cooked or dry. The burgers were well constructed and tasted great. The fries were so much better. The onion rings in the burger were softer this time. The new item that we took was the bacon chicken ranch poutine. It was a bit of a mess when opening the box. I would advise to put a bit less fries in the box so that the sauces don't spill out. Also, the chicken nuggets were hard. One of the cooks told another that they only had a few pieces of nuggets left and not enough for the next order and that they were hard. They should have disposed of them immediately and not used them at all. Otherwise, good taste. All in all, much better experience and will definitely try them...

It was ok... I've always love Harvey's... I just found that the girl, who was assembling our burgers, didn't know how to properly wrap the burgers, so as to prevent the juices and sauces from dripping on our fingers and clothes as we eat... She did a pretty botched job!... And I know coz I worked at Harvey's in the past... So I know how things are supposed to be done... Not only that, she and the grill girl didn't wait til we were gone (away from the counter) to start "secretly" gossiping... I thought it was in very poor taste to do so when clients are waiting to be served... And those 2 didn't even have a smile to spare for the clients... Only the cashier smiled and was welcoming... Besides that, the place was clean and well maintained... The food was, as always, pretty good (Harvey's ALWAYS tastes good!

This Harvey’s is one of my favourites. Here are the reasons.

Pros: A) The restaurant is nice and it feels spacious and very nice and simple design inside and Outside. B) Drive thru service and wheelchair accessible because it’s 1 floor. C) Food was good and they prepare fresh. D) The Service and the employees are speaking well and they are so polite. That’s a good attitude.

Worst parts: A) The washroom needs more renovating and taken care off also it’s in a weird spot since you need the door is near the entrance. B) The food is pricey for me but the taste and service made up for it. C) They need to have windows that emit more natural light as I feel it was tinted. D) Do away with the booths and just use tables as it’s easier to clean but that just me. E) Parking lot is a weird position since you need to go around to exit.

Conclusion: It’s a good restaurant and better than 5 guys because it’s Canadian and they cater to Canada only and the food is good.
