Update: November 12/20 Changed 5 starts to 3 stars for the following reasons:
The last couple of times I've gotten shawarma platters, I've been disappointed. The meat is less than before (which for me is ok since i never finish thr plate but its nice to have leftovers for another meal) The service and the garlic sauce, salad dressing and pomegranate sauce were mainly what kept me coming to this place.
The garlic sauce is now different, doesn't taste the same as before, it has a wipped consistency and it's very white, not cream colour like before. I did not like it.
The salad dressing doesn't taste the same either. Its almost as if they watered it down :( the pomegranate sauce, same thing, not thick and flavorful anymore - extremely watered down. I'm very sadden by this as this was my favourite shawarma restaurant in town.
Please bring back your quality ingredients!!!!

Myhusband and I have take out food once or twice a week. This has always been our go to place ever since they opened. The place is very clean and has a nice athmosphere to it - they even have a Frankenstein that greets you all year round đ. The food is delicious - the shawarma chicken is perfectly marinated and is beautifully complemented by the delish spiced rice and salad. The garlic sauce is very tasty and salad dressing made in house is one of the best I've ever had. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Even the fries are seasoned with their own spices. Don't forget to drizzle your meat with garlic sauce and pomegranate sauce. It elevates the flavors amazingly. I love this place and the wonderful service everyone there provides. They're kind, generous and always treat you with a smile. It's a nice little gem in the neighborhood. Also, if you need food catered. Don't hesitate ... we ordered for a birthday celebration last night and the amount of food was so generous that everyone took food home for today. It was nicely packed and just tasty!!! đ Update Aug 29-20: the last two times I've gone to get food between 8-8:20pm, they have locked the door and were closed for the day - very disappointing. If their opening hours are until 9pm, they should keep it that way. Also, lately portion size has changed - i agree with other reviews that the meat cup is not being filled to the rim and meat doesn't taste as fresh as usual if you go at night. I hope this improves. Shawarma Star is still my favorite take out place around here - especially because of cleanliness but i hope the owners look at the comments and fix the little issues. It's still a great place with great food and still deserving...
Read moreWould give it 5 stars because the food is amazing, hands down best shawarma wraps in town, but almost everytime i come i get the worst service from the same worker which is why this is only a 3 star rating. He seems annoyed when i ask for extra toppings like lettuce. (I only get 2 things so i like having a decent amount of it) Whenever there is more customers in, he makes everyones orders at once, and makes it all at once, so he barely listens to what you actually want. We had to wait for our order to be made because another customer walked in and he took their order as well. Theres been times where hes put toppings i didnt want because he was too busy listening to other people. Today he even âshushedâ me when i said i wanted spicy mayo because he was rotating from my order to another customers order. I get wanting to be fast and efficient, but you should be listening to each customer and completing their...
Read moreWas the best shawarma in town, but I am getting disappointed.
The food was perfect, serving was decent and the service was the best. I still love the service, the meal size still good but the food quality dropped.
In the beginning, the rice was tasty and well seasoned, the shawarma was perfectly made and falafels were the best. However, the quality dropped a lot in the last few months, both the ingredients and the preparation. The rice lacks that same spicy saffron taste as before and now it is much more plain and oily. Falafels are now made of cheap white flour mixed with almost no chickpeas and no seasonings. The flat bread is dry and comes soggy in oil.
It is not bad, but lost the shine it had before. Maybe they are cutting costs because of inflation and taxes, but I honestly would prefer to pay more and get the same quality...
