They are definitely GRAND!! and know how to spoil their guests 😬😬😬

Jagdeep was really amazing and the lady at the door was great as well. Their staff is super polite and humble.

They definitely spared no expenses in ensuring the grand ambiance, however, the food is definitely not the best Indian food in the KW Area.

Here is our review: They are probably following one of the most strict COVID standards. At the entry you are supposed to provide a proof of second COVID vaccine and an ID to go along. We saw one of the staff members cleaning and sanitizing not just the tables but chairs as well. All of their staff was wearing masks all the time.

Super impressed!!!❤️

However, all of this lead into waiting lines and definitely require reservations!!! If you are going there late evening, be prepared to wait! Especially now that the winter is coming highly recommended to get reservations!!!

There was a lot of crowd including families, students and professionals. When doing reservations pls ensure to ask if they have any cabin available definitely a better experience than the regular seating.

This brings us to the ambiance. OMG! This place is definitely worth going at least once if not for food but for its Grandness!!! Really liked everything that they have done with the place. Even the cutlery was as grand! Pls see all the pics for more details on ambiance.

They have taken special care for the handicapped guests! They have 2 handicapped parking right outside their entrance and their entrance is also a handicapped accessible entrance. In addition, they have a separate handicapped accessible washroom!!! Kudos to them on this!!!

All this Grandness definitely comes with a price. Hence the menu is definitely expensive and the quantity of the food is equally good enough. However, they certainly need to work on the quality of food!!!

Here is how our order went:

Soya Chaap "three on three". Loved this item... We believe Soya Chaap is definitely their specialty. It was really awesome and we would definitely recommend to eat this. 5/5

Bhindi Achaari do Pyaaza - this where were let down. After the amazing Soya Chaap our expectations were too high and hence they were broken right away!!! There was no Achaari flavor in this item, however the taste was good. 2/5

Malayi Kofta - this is NOT sweet. Generally when we say Malayi Kofta we assume it will be sweet. This one has creamy gravy and rich taste. We really liked it. 4/5

Veg Briyani - they warned us the quantity is pretty good on this one and it was. But the quality was even better. We really liked the Briyani, it was filled if lots of veggies and very well cooked. The raita that came with was quite good and complemented the Briyani in many ways. 5/5

Laccha paratha - standard laccha paratha. 4/5

Special Bullet Naan - this was good! We were told it will be spicy too and it was. 5/5

All in all - the quantity of the food was really good but they can definitely do better on the quality.

We didn't try any liquor and non-veg items so no comments. We are definitely looking forward to go there once more to try non-veg entries with Soya Chaap for sure.

The restaurant has lot of seating capacity and parking space. A reservation is definitely recommended prior to going in.

Pls ensure to understand the quantity of food before ordering and clearly ask about the items you are ordering in terms of spiciness and other aspects.

Worth going...

After seeing the lawn signs advertising this place in our neighbourhood, my wife & I decided we had to try this new place out. When we arrived in early evening on a Friday night, the restaurant was not yet busy. But it was filling up by the time we left.

Gaining entry to the restaurant required COVID screening involving hand sanitizing, having our temperature taken, and giving personal contact information.

Once that was done, we were asked if we wanted a booth or a table and we opted for a table for two, which happened to be in the middle of the large dining area. Next time, I think we’d try a booth instead. Although rather large (has seating for 6-8 people) and requiring some sliding to get into, the booth table would have been a better size for all the dishes that ended up being extremely cozy on our little one! A booth would also provide a greater sense of intimacy in an otherwise large space. Would be nicer for a romantic dinner :)

For an appetizer, we ordered Onion Bhajias. They looked awesome and were delicious. Nice and crisp, not soggy.

For mains, my wife ordered the Chicken Malai Tikka. It came out first on a hot griddle and was unbelievably impressive in the way it hissed and steamed upon arriving at our table! It tasted delicious too.

I ordered the Korma Chicken which took a little longer to arrive but was well worth the wait. It too was tasty, being mostly savoury and not overly spicy, despite the hot red pepper placed on top (a nice touch of colour there!). The freshly baked garlic naan bread we ordered as a side was to die for! And I was happy they had Cheetah beer on tap to wash everything down.

Prices are reasonable and comparable to other East Indian restaurants in the region, with most dishes being in the mid-high teens. Service was friendly and attentive, with the servers looking splendid in their nice uniforms.

I think what differentiates this East Indian restaurant from others is the atmosphere. Their subtitle says “Royal Indian Dining Experience”, and the space, décor, and service do indeed reflect that. This is a classy place, but without the classy price tag. Give them a try! You won’t be...

OMG...this has to be the BEST Indian food we have ever had!

Update: ever since our first visit, we have returned at least half a dozen times and have NEVER been disappointed.

Parking in the small plaza is plentiful and free.

The Grand Mehfil has free Wi-Fi.

The inside of the restaurant was extremely clean. I visited the men's room, which is a good indicator of how clean a restaurant really is, and was amazed on how absolutely clean the washroom was.

The Grand Mehfil has an authentic look and feel and plays authentic Indian music, which is something we actually enjoy and appreciate, rather than playing other music that doesn't fit the restaurant.

The food: this is one of the best, if not the best tasting Indian food we have ever had! Even though the Vegatable Pakoda and Honey Chilli Potato are deep fried, there was practically no grease left over on our plates. The two appetizers actually filled us up and were very tasty. I loved the heat/spicey on the Honey Chilli Potato!

The Paneer Tikka Butter Masala and the Kadhai Paneer are the two entrees we had and would definitely recommend them!! I love spicy food and would definitely recommend the Kadhai Paneer; it's not overwhelming and very flavourful. The Paneer Tikka Butter Masala was absolutely fantastic! Flavour upon Flavour!! The chef(s) needs to be complemented.

The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. They offered suggestions and recommendations and accommodate minor changes in their food and drinks.

The menu is vast and will take some time to go through. It contains different options such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and obviously meat.

My thanks to all the staff, the greeter, the waiter, the server, the kitchen staff and the cleaning staff, all of you do an excellent job!

My only suggestion is that on the "Tip Guide" located at the bottom of the receipt, in the amounts of 5%, 10% and 15%, these amounts should be based on pre tax total and not post tax total; we don't need to tip...
