WIMPY’S DINER — Restaurant in Kitchener

I'm going to start this by saying that I used to visit and suggest wimpy's to people all the time, and I will no longer do that. I went out for breakfast with my older and younger sisters the weekend before my wedding and everything started out okay. The first thing I noticed was our waitress Rebecca didn't have her curly long hair tied up which I found weird since I worked in the food industry and it's usually required. Anyway we ordered our food and everything was fine, when I got my order of strawberry French toast it looked fine but when I took a bite of them they had a weird onion-y after taste to them, which I'm assuming meant that the cooked them on the same cook top as the omlettes. Only one piece tasted like that so I just carried on eating. Rebecca the waitress came and checked on us 2 minutes later and I didn't bother bringing that is because it was nothing. Literally 2 seconds after she left I cut into a piece of French toast and there was a hair cooked into the toast. At that point I was like okay that's disgusting and I stopped eating. Our waitress didn't come back until my sisters were done eating and when she came back I told her in the nicest way possible that I found a hair in my meal, I really didn't want to make a fuss I just wanted to inform her. Rebecca rudely responded with "Kay well I asked if everything was okay and you said yeah." I kind of just sat there in disbelief. I've worked in a high end restaurant and I know if something like that ever happens to a customer you don't reply with a bitchy attitude, you just apologize and offer the menu to the customer so they can order something else in replacement. Our waitress Rebecca did not once apologize for the accident. They took off half of the cost of my French toast and she immaturely threw the mints and our receipt at our table. I can honestly say I have never met such a rude and childish waitress in my life. When I went to pay the other waitresses were talk about me and were glaring at me. I made sure I remembered our waitresses name. Needless to say I will no longer be dining there and will not be recommending them to anyone. My husband's family was once neighbors with the owners and they are very sweet people, but I'm very disappointed with...

I usually go to the location on Homer Watson and their service is great! This location is totally opposite. This was my second time coming here, the first time was good because I had a good waitress, but still want to point out that a particular waitress (not the one who served me) who was here both times I came just gave off hardcore toxic vibes. The reason I'm mentioning this is because on my second time coming ere is where her toxicity truly showed. I walked in she led me to a table then proceeds to walk away without asking about a drink, I then ask for water and she turns around and says "what?" Making me have to repeat myself. Then another waitress comes and takes my order- I ordered the hot turkey meal and when i received it I instantly noticed that the portion was ridiculously small. This is one of my go-to meals when I visit the Homer Watson location so I know how it goes. At first I was going to let it slide so I took like two bites, then the waitress came and asked me not even 2 mins later how I was doing and that's when I called them out on it. She offered to get more turkey added to my plate and took my plate. The whole situation just rubbed me the wrong way especially after me coming the first time and leaving a nice tip so after she took my plate I said screw it and got up and told her ill be going somewhere else to eat, they can do whatever they like with the food, wasting their time and food for wasting my time!! Food portion was off, terrible service. Owner "Steve" told me call head office if I dont like the fact that the family breakfast only came with a half size portion of potatoes, I called head office and he was in fact wrong. He called me back to harass me after arguing with me that the correct portion was given (He was wrong) and yell at me and ask why I did not go to Homerwatson if I like them so much..... I told him I meant to order there he continued to argue with me that I did not mean to order from Homerwatson to the point I asked if I need to call the police as he was calling my personal phone to gloat and then got angry when he was wrong. I called head office back and explained I spent $100 on breakfast and delivery and they promised to make it right, all Steve offered was the other 3 portions if I could pick it up. So When I called head office back she said I was just mailing you a gift card now because he is calling you back we will mail you an even bigger gift card and talk to Steve so that you and your family can enjoy the meal dining in at one of our other locations.
