LOCATION 685 FAIRWAY RD, KITCHENER, ON. Can't find this Wendy's on this site to post it directly.
This location keeps getting worse and worse. My order was a Combo 2 ( 1/2lb Double Burger) I didn't alter any of the condiments either. The Burger was NASTY, didn't have any TOMATOES, 1 PICKLE, LETTUCE was wilted and 1 Onion Ring the size of a Twoonie. The bottom bun was hard and gross. The burger patties were full of grease. I upgraded to a poutine and it consisted of some old fries that had been in the oil for most of the day and Diet Coke and a chilli on the side and a Caramel Frosty. The Diet Coke and the Frosty was the best part of dinner. The Chilli had black burnt piece all the way through it, obviously this was the last bit of the Chili and they scraped the pot or container they used and gave it to me. I guess at 9:15pm they don't serve it fresh or care about their customers.
Wendy's say on their website, NEW PREMIUM TOPPINGS, WARM TOASTED BUNS?? I was also the only person in drive-thru and no customers inside as well. Maybe they were so busy that they didn't have time to slice tomatoes, or grab a jar of pickles, slice and dice an onion? What I could see is staff talking together, thinking about going home soon etc...
On the FLIPside I called Wendy's on Fisher Hallman Rd, Kitchener, ON by a mistake as I thought it was Fairway RD. I said who I was and said I'd like to read the review I am about to post. So I read this exact post to him, he was polite, listened and was willing to help me. He took everything down and read it back and said he would contact the other store for me I'd like, so I said please do. After that he told me I called the wrong location and still offered if he could Help me in any which way. BTW his name was Keaton and I believe he was the Manager on Duty.
He (Keaton) took all my information and was quite sincere when he said sorry, and tried to make the situation better. What Keaton did was he kept my family of 6 to keep coming back to Wendy's even if it is his location or some other one in another town or across the World. And now I don't need to tell all my friends or family to boycott Wendy's completely.
So I'd like to say Thank-You to Keaton for your Customer Service and making the customer feel better and standing behind what Wendy's is all about "QUALITY is what drives us every...
Read moreWhat a mess! I have been to this location more than once. Yesterday, September 17th, around 4:30pm or so, I was in a rush with my Daughter so I figured we will go through drive thru and pick up dinner. I waited in line for a good 10 minutes, the line was at a dead stop. I waited another 5-10 minutes to get to the window to pay and get my order, I could not turn around as I was blocked with cars behind me and in front of me. I remained pleasant once I pulled up to the window, I figured maybe a tough customer in front of me is holding up the line. I pulled up to two employees yelling at each other at the window, the girl who served us rolled her eyes as she opened the window and shoved two bags in my face, then pulled them back as she noticed I haven't even paid yet. She then said "I am sorry for the wait", I said "no problem at it happens". I paid, and she started rambling on, to me, about how "this isn't my fault, it is all the kitchen's fault! All I am doing is taking orders....and customers are giving me the @#$% when it's not my fault". I said "it's ok it happens". She then gave me the food and again said sorry for the wait, I said no problem. I then reminded her that I was still waiting on a salad, so then she grabbed that. This girl was furious and very un professional. My 9 year old Daughter in the back of the car, asked me why this girl was being so angry at the window. I left the place, assuming after being there so long, my order would be perfect. Well....we had no straws for our drinks, my Daughter's dipping sauce was spicy instead of Sweet and Sour, her ice cream was the wrong size. Few things wrong I had no time to go back we sucked it up. Once I got home, I checked my salad that I picked up to have the next day for lunch, instead of the regular serving size it was a side salad, even though she confirmed the size with me while I was ordering. Overall the food was tasty, and has never failed me. But the customer service turned me off to the point that I will not be back to this Wendy's location. I hope the staff will have some training on how to stay calm and professional to keep customers from feeling...
Read moreSome things are better left a mystery. Wendy’s, at least in my experience, never lives up to the hype. From their cold and soggy fries to horrible service, my expectations are shattered every single time.
As for the fries, Wendy’s “natural cut” fries are the biggest sham. The taste is covered with too much saltude. They never taste fresh, and it feels like they were sitting out for hours before being served. Even when fresh fries are sold, they remain cold and limp. It's almost as if fresh fries come with a catch.
I have no idea “fresh, never frozen,” beef sounds good, but when put into practice, simply does not cut it. Where should I even begin with the burgers? I have had better burgers from lower-tier fast food joints. Wendy’s burgers are overpriced and taste the same as stale rubber. A patty does not taste good when charred on the outside and rubbery on the inside, not what you want in a burger.
And the service? Don’t even get me started on that. In my experience with Wendy’s, there seems to be a lack of trained staff, or the available ones happen to be disinterested as well as overtly rude. It’s as though they do not mind your presence. There has been an occasion where I waited in line for a a quarter of an hour just ot be greeted with an incorrect order. The entire process was frustrating notion after another.
The physical appearance of the building is not any different than the other Wendy’s- disgusting sticky floors, dirty tables, and everything that indicates lack of care. It shows that humanity as a whole really...
