A&W Canada — Restaurant in Langford

I am super upset with the service I have had with this A&W. I have only gone to this location 3 times and each time the same woman working the drive-through window messes up my order. The first time, I requested a beyond meat burger with specifics to what was on or off. Came completely wrong so I simply asked to have it corrected to what I had ordered. Not a huge issue because mistakes happen and I was able to have it corrected. Second time, I ordered two simple burgers with no changes. She kept asking if I wanted to make one of them a meal and I said no and reiterated "One beyond meat burger, one teen mushroom mozzarella buddy burger." "What do drink?" she responded and I said "No drink. Just the two burgers please." The final price was never said back to me but she told me to pull forward. So when I looked at the machine before paying, it was something close to $30. I was super confused as to why that was the case so I asked and she said it was for 2 combo's and a single burger. It made absolutely no sense, especially after confirming what I wanted twice. I again said "Just the two burgers please." and she said "No combo?" to which I responded again, "No." And she said again "Anything to drink?" and I audibly laughed and said "No. I only want the two burgers I ordered." Then after lots of discussion with her colleague they gave me the order but the order was wrong so I asked for the beyond meat burger instead of the regular beef burger, which I was given. Today again, after not going for a month, I dreaded having a similar encounter but I figured it wouldn't happen again. I went through the drive through window and ordered a "Beyond meat burger with cheese and can I please have it lettuce wrapped?" and she said "Okay, anything else?" and I said no so she instructed me to pull forward. Again, she never told me the price but when I looked at the machine, I was okay with seeing $8-something. I get my food and I pull forward to look at my order and I opened it to see it was a beef patty. I reversed to the window as there was no one behind me and said it was made wrong with a beef patty and that I had ordered a beyond meat patty. She said "Oh." and signalled with her hands to have the burger back. I gave it to her and she told me to pull forward so I did and waited. Someone came out and gave me the burger I ordered and told me to have a great night and I said thank you - I look at the order and see the fixings are missing. At that point I was so disappointed I didn't even bother to have it corrected. Didn't expect this to happen...

Absolutely appalled at the service I received tonight. My partner and I ordered bacon & chicken wraps, and asked for mozzarella cheese to be added to them. We pull up to the window, pay, and are told to pull forward and wait for a few minutes until they give us our food. We check the wraps, and none of them have the cheese we asked for, even though we were charged for the cheese. To make sure they really didn’t add cheese, we checked every wrap. No dice. We turn around, go back through, and it sounds like they immediately know what we’re there for; like they anticipated us coming back? We’re told to pull through, wait again. Sit another 5 minutes in the car. A lady comes out with another bag and asks for us to give her the other wraps so they can “resell them” in her words. Resell them? What? Not only is that a huge food safety issue, it’s disgusting. We give her the wrong wraps, after she rifles through and counts them in front of us to “make sure”. Super disrespectful, super bizarre, super gross. I sincerely hope they have no intention on reselling the wraps. Management needs to keep a closer eye on their staff, maybe review food safe with everyone for...

Our family had an absolutely fantastic experience at A&W! The staff, especially Komal, were incredibly friendly, greeting us with genuine smiles and making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Their warmth and enthusiasm were contagious, and they went above and beyond to ensure our order was perfect, even offering great recommendations from the menu. The restaurant itself was spotless—every table, counter, restroom and floor was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. As for the menu, it’s nothing short of amazing! From the classic, juicy burgers to the perfectly crispy fries and creamy, refreshing root beer floats, amazing lattes.. every item we tried was bursting with flavour and made with care. The variety is impressive, catering to all tastes, whether you’re craving something savory or sweet.
