Milestones — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

We ordered a steak tonight - it was very bad. My steak was very tough and my boyfriend’s was as if it had been chewed up and cooked after spitting. Sorry for the imagery.

The waiter was extremely sweet, he was in training and when we expressed concerns, he was nice. The waitress training him, once we said the issue, told us she had been getting complaints about the steaks since yesterday, saying that “they taste as if they were put through a blender”. This comment frustrated us because we felt like she withheld this information when we were ordering. If you know the steaks are bad, why let people order? Also, she said we should have mentioned it to the waiter when he cane to check up on us. However, when the waiter came to see if we liked everything, it was too early as we hadnt had the chance to try the food yet. He came almost immediately after serving our food. So just a tip, wait a little longer before checking in with clients so they can try their food properly. And absolutely dont tell clients you knew you have bad food and let them order it. Milestones Laval – Avoid Pre-Show Dinner Disappointment

We booked for 6:15pm ahead of a show at Place Bell. All guests were seated on time, but from the outset service fell short. No cutlery, no water, and after nearly 10 minutes we were finally greeted. Simple drink orders (a Negroni, martini, and their Paper Plane) took roughly 30 minutes to arrive. Only after reminding our server did we receive basic table settings and water.

Although we placed our food order promptly, it was clear other tables who arrived later were receiving faster attention. By 7:00pm, with time evaporating before our show, I approached the manager who did respond quickly, but unfortunately our meals arrived just as we had to leave. To their credit, we were not charged for the food, but the apology extended no further than a basic “we’re really busy tonight.” No gesture like a complimentary drink was offered.

Given the proximity to Place Bell, it is hard to accept that management did not anticipate the surge in guests on an event night. If a restaurant knows it cannot service reservations properly under those conditions, it should...

Our waitress Vanessa was so friendly and nice, one of the best waitresses I've ever had, and I've been to alot of restaurants.

She took care of us, brought us water several times, brought us anything we were missing or needed. She was just great.

For food we ordered an onion soup and wow it was so flavorful, I think it was one of the best onion soups I've had, the only comment I would say about this is maybe put abit less cheese but other then that so good.

We got the California salad with Cajun chicken and it was so good. All the ingredients in the salad were just so well together, definitely a must try. We did ask for extra dressing tho.

The spicy salmon tartare was good as well it came with fries and salad.

For drink, if you are a Ceasars person you need to definitely get the chili mango, one of the best Ceasars I've had and also they are known for these bellini so if you want something sweet, definitely get that.

I would definitely recommend this place highly. I will go back soon and try other stuff.
