Nestled in the heart of Laval lies a culinary gem that never fails to impress—Beroya Restaurant. From the moment you step foot into this cozy eatery, you're transported on a sensory journey through the vibrant flavors of Lebanese and Syrian cuisine.
Recently, I had the pleasure of treating my twin daughters to dinner at Beroya, and from the onset, I knew it was going to be an exceptional experience. Having frequented this establishment before, I was already familiar with the high standard of their fare, but this visit surpassed all expectations.
Our meal commenced with an array of appetizers that set the tone for the culinary delight that followed. The tabouleh, a quintessential Levantine salad, transported me back to my childhood with its fresh, herbaceous flavors that mirrored those of my mother's recipe. Accompanying it was the hummus—a true test of authenticity—and I was delighted to find it surpassed my expectations, evoking memories of dinners enjoyed in Lebanon itself.
But the delights didn't stop there. We indulged in an assortment of mezze, including perfectly crispy fries, decadent cheese rolls, and an array of other tantalizing dishes that tantalized our taste buds and left us eager for more.
For our main course, we opted for the succulent kafta kabob and arayes, and we were not disappointed. The kabobs, bursting with juices and flavor, were grilled to perfection, showcasing the culinary mastery of the chefs at Beroya. Each bite was a symphony of taste, further enhancing our dining experience.
Yet, what truly sets Beroya apart is not only the outstanding quality of its cuisine but also the impeccable service and ambiance. From the warm welcome we received upon arrival to the attentive care of the staff throughout our meal, every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish.
As we savored our final bites and reluctantly bid farewell to Beroya, we couldn't help but reflect on an exceptional evening we had just experienced. If you find yourself in Laval and craving authentic Lebanese cuisine, do not hesitate to visit Beroya. With its tantalizing blend of Lebanese and Syrian flavors, it's a culinary journey that's not to be missed. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreThe service was great and we sat outside because it was a beautiful day! I only gave one star for the food because we all got very sick…i think it was the kibbe nayyé (the beef tartar). We were 10 people, three of which were out of town guests. Luckily, they did not touch the kibbe nayye and so did not become ill. The other thing that was very problematic in terms of the taste of the food is that we could tell that they did not use olive oil or at least, it was mixed with some other oil. When eating the salads (and just about everything else), the taste was completely off. On top of it all, it was quite expensive. I know that the restaurant gets a lot of good reviews and I never like to give bad reviews. We are middle eastern and know what good middle eastern food tastes like. I also know just how difficult it is to run a restaurant. One of the toughest jobs to be sure. I waited a week before I decided to do this because I don’t like giving negative reviews. I do want, however, the owners to be careful with the preparation of their food. Cleanliness must be paramount when serving raw meat or any food for that matter. Also, you cannot serve middle eastern food and skimp on the quality of the olive oil. Middle Eastern food is all about the quality of the olive oil. For the prices charged, we expected better. Having said all this, I do wish the owners good luck and continued success but hope they will heed the points I make in...
Read moreReally nice vibe, food and service. Discovered a few new favorite! They're sujuk was a nice surprise, in a format that I've been never had before and was really tasty. Also picked their mixed meat plate and it was good but overcooked and disappointingly small for the price. I usually take mostly meat plates at most restaurants I go to and this was by far the smallest portion between comparable Turkish, Lebanese, Afghan and Greek places selling cheaper plates. I think if you approach this place like the tapas place it wants to be, (tapas, if u don't know, means small yet expensive portions), and that you own a money tree, this is perfect for you. To note, parking is tough around there but we still managed to wait out ppl and park 3 different cars there, but only because it was a Wednesday night, weekends, good luck to you! Although it's definitely worth a try, there are better options around that part of town. Oh! And make sure to have reservations, got turned back on another Wednesday by the host. I had asked if he had space for 2 in his seemingly completely empty restaurant and he just answered no and left! I thought it was a joke at 1st but when he came back, over 1 minute later, I asked if he was joking and only there did he bother explaining to me that everything was booked in the...
