Sushi Tomo Go — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

I wish I could give this restaurant a minus rating. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. AND I travel a lot. Not true to the pictures in the menu. The tuna is supposedly mixed into their “ tempura goo mixture” …basically all you will get in your rolls is fake crab sticks mixed with mayonnaise and temperature flakes! A complete rip off. NO pride at all in their food. I even went back with my order to ask if it was normal that my rolls didn’t look like they had any fish inside or if they forgot to add it. Honestly, I wish they get shut down for serving this travesty of a food they call “sushi”. Thats not sushi, it’s dog food! I have attached a picture of what was supposed to be the NDG roll. Tell me if you can see the tuna, the avocado ?? The eel roll also had a microscopic piece of eel and filled with cheap crab stick and mayo picture is also attached. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but I figured I would pay it forward to customers thinking to go there. Save your hard earned money! You won’t get any fish in your rolls! Just fried crumbs. Tuna flavored fried crumbs...

Overall, it's a decent sushi place however the big issue if you are a fan of Mikado on Laurier, be warned that the sushi from Mikado go in laval are often made differently even though they use the same name, and the changes are generally for the worst unfortunately. I don't know why they changed the recipes but I find it annoying, for example you would expect that a Chardonnay roll would be the same no matter which Mikado restaurant you order from, but that is not the case... So if you are a fan of the original Mikado restaurant in Laurier and order some of your favorites here, you'll likely be disappointed... It's too bad, I would have loved a true Mikado in laval because Mikado Laurier is easily one of the top sushi restaurant, but in my opinion this place shouldn't be called Mikado, or at least they should change the name of their sushi to minimize disappointing customer...

I just ordered a bunch of food from this restaurant based on their reviews but it must be there friends and families leaving the 5 star reviews. I tried there sushi, bao buns, banh mi sandwich, miso soup, poke bowl, bbt, shrimp tempura. honestly theres nothing special about this resto at all. the vietnamese sandwiches are not original. they were over toasted and hard like a rock. the sushi... mehh nothing special, (like all you can eat sushi) i also didnt get any soya sauce or mayonnaise sauce so i had to eat it without sauce. miso soup too salty. the salmon poke bowl, i would have to say is the worst of them all. definitely a waste of 17$. shrimp tempura wasnt good. bao buns were okay. its def a more expensive sushi restaurant but not worth it at all. theres plenty of better sushi...
