Dont listen to the negative reviews, they are either too old to count due to restaurant changes and turnover (older than 2 years means nothing in the hospitality industry), they have no merit, or no logic. However, I can say this restaurant learns from their reviews. The pricing for the food is appropriate for the quantity and quality you get. I recommend keeping in mind what foods have extra charges (*sweet potato fries are more expensive to produce than regular, to the person who left a bad review for the pricing of two wraps and fries). The food itself, great! The fish and chips were great and had a nice BIG portion of fish (basically the whole fish). Also, the slaw was AMAZING! The corned beef on rye was really tasty but the bread was a little on the thick side (no big deal). The fajita wrap was also very good. The cheese was melted perfectly and the taco flavoring was phenomenal. Finally: the brocolli and cauliflower soup of the day, amazing. I wanted more even though I was full. Now, although there were few staff (it's a Monday at lunch so that's fine), they were pleasant. It would have been nice to have a check in half way through but we still loved the experience. As for the atmosphere and look: when you search "classic British pub" it's almost exactly what you see here. The music was 70s classics which we LOVE. It's not classic pub music, but still awesome and appropriate for a relaxed Monday lunch. 😎 Quality...
Read moreMy family and I have eaten here many many times before and have always enjoyed it. The LAST time we ate here we were served with attitude. Our waitress was nice and recommended the butter chicken so we order it. When the food was coming out another waitress helped and brought the food out, I asked for a water and was told “ Sorry we’re trying to get the food out first” which set me back a little. Not one person at our table of eleven liked the butter chicken. No problem we asked them to take it back. Everything else was good and hot. We recieved the bill and had noticed the butter chicken still on there. We told our waitress we did not enjoy it so it should be off the bill right? No obviously not in our case the waitress brought back the same lady who had told us to wait for the water and then came the attitude, We told her that we were not even offered another dish and it was not even token off the BILL. She told us that they don’t run the restaurant like that “there’s nothing wrong with the batch so if you don’t like it that your problem” so something to learned is if YOU DONT LIKE YOUR MEAL ITS NOT COMING OFF THE BILL TOO BAD TOO SAD. WOW is all I can say we had asked to speak with the owner as we know him. Nothing. So we payed and he I am writing a bad review. The WORST thing that happened is that she sat there AND ARGUED WITH US. 😒

Read moreWas really excited to come here today. Ordered the chicken pie with ceaser salad. The Chicken Pie used to be really good. Sadly this is not true anymore with it being drier then the Sahara desert. I brought this up to the 2nd server we had (we had 2 servers) and suggested some sauce that they used to put that they stopped doing. I accepted this but I got it and the sauce was a shell of its former self. Very bland, combined with a dry pie left me to leave most of it for a later meal if I’m starving. The salad was good however despite the 1st server telling me it was included in the meal, when I got the bill there was a 4 DOLLAR up charge for a small ceaser salad that was never mentioned before. I told the 2nd server that was handling the bill (1st server went home I assume), that a salad would have no extra charge but this was ignored and I was told I must pay the extra 4 dollars. Very unprofessional and lacking empathy. Ended up paying almost 25 dollars alone for an entree before tax for half of a dry pie, bland sauce, and a now overpriced desert. Also had 3 deserts that someone else bought at the table and 2/3 of them tasted like granola bars though the Pumpkin Cheesecake Cupcake was good. Definitely disappointing and I certainly...
