We have been eating at Mezza for many years but, after this take out order, we won’t be returning. We ordered on line and that went well. The pick up was fine as well. Our complaints are with the chicken skewers, very dry, tough and over cooked. Worse we have ever had! Also, the portion of salad was super small and saturated in salad oil. The lentils and rice were the best part of the meal. Sorry you have lost two loyal customers. UPDATE: Very shortly after writing this review, we received an email followed by a phone call from the owner. He apologized profusely for the poor quality of food in our takeout order. He also promised us that he would look into it and ensured us that it would not occur again. We were asked if we would give Mezza another try on their dime which, we will be doing. I changed the rating as I was very impressed with the response I received. It was prompt, professional and that no excuses were made for our disappointing takeout order. I will update this review again after our next visit. MOST RECENT UPDATE: We went back to Mezza after the call with the manager; he gave us a generous gift certificate for another take-out order. This time the chicken was moist and tender. We asked that the salad dressing be provided on the side. The meal was more reminiscent of our good Mezza experiences! As always the staff is very pleasant to...
Read moreWe moved here from Ontario and my husband is Lebanese. We have ordered here multiple times, and each time we have watched them count out 4 cucumbers to go on the Fatouche salad, half a scoop of tabouli, measure dry cold chicken (and then put some back). We have ordered extra chicken which came out to 8 dollars extra for a 1/4 of a cup. Then when asking for a tablespoon extra of Tahini, were told "no, its costs extra." After spending over 60.00 dollars for 2 plates. My husband asked for hot chicken off the spit, their response is they are "not allowed". This is NOT the Lebanese way! This is very much watered down, uncultured, typical fast food. Subway treats you better than this. We are disappointed everytime. Here's a tip, if you're trying to keep food cost down, make moist shawarma that doesn't need a gallon of garlic sauce, or tahini to get it down. Put sauce on the meat, don't measure every unce and scale, for the love of God stop counting the tomatoes and cucumbers. Change the theme of "treat you like family." That rhetoric is just...
Read moreAnd we are back to the old complaints from the beginning. The staff are certainly better, much friendlier! HOWEVER portions have declined drastically and prices have gone way up, cleanliness is very questionable around the rotisserie station and scale too. The tabouli also has sand in it again and it seems hit or miss when the recipe is followed, one day someone didnt add the lemon juice and the salad was bland if not uneatable.
Here is my old review, AFTER they reached out the first time with concerns and Mezza tried to make it better, but sadly, its been a very rapid back slide:
Updating my review to reflect my new experience!
Thank you to the staff for reaching out! They sent me a genuinely sincere email offering to assist me. This is great and shows care for customer feedback! I was in last week and was very pleased at the staff and the food and the portions. It seems things are back on track!
I will certainly...
