Pizza Delight Truro — Restaurant in Lower Truro

Update: after numerous emails from customer service( or the lack there of), not once was this visit ever made right. There is a serious problem with how this location is ran and the continuous bad reviews should be alarming to the franchisee and corporate. "Pizza is what we make, Delight is what we do". Time to update your slogan. "Dissapoint is what we do".

This review is based solely on the food and was no reflection of our awesome server.

We showed up during supper rush, it was quite busy and it seemed the staff were overwhelmed. The lady who greeted us was flustered and abrupt. We were sat within 10 mins.

We ordered our food after about 10 more minutes. Our drinks came fast. After our order was taken, we noticed that a lot of tables weren't cleaned and the tables that were seated either looked unhappy because they've been waiting so long or unhappy because they were sending food back. I saw 2 orders get sent back to the kitchen because they weren't made right.

When we did get our food, we were less than impressed. It was soo over cooked and dry that I couldn't eat the crust of my pizza so I resorted to eating the toppings( or lack there of) and sending the garlic fingers back to the kitchen. The fingers were like a Frisbee. They didn't fold or bend. They were so hard it was like a disc or cheap frozen overcooked pizza. My 4 year old nephew said his pizza tasted like paper.

The server was quick to get me new fingers but my family member was so hungry that she ended up eating hers, even with them being so hard and burnt.

I've been eating at Pizza Delight since I was a kid. In my almost 30 years of eating Pizza Delight, this was the worst food experience. I was truly looking forward to enjoying my meal but it was terrible.

Our server, given how understaffed it seemed and how overwhelmed they seemed, was fantastic and she's the only reason that there's one star to give.

Somethings very wrong here. Not sure if it's lack of management, understaffed, terrible communication and training in the back of house, or just a really bad...

My two young kids and I came in after driving from southern NB to Truro. We were tired and hungry so Pizza Delight seemed like a great option.

It was obviously slow at the time (around 5pm on a Wednesday) which wasn't promising but at that point, we didn't care.

It was extremely clean inside, slightly outdated in a vintage way, low music and an extremely warm welcome. Our waitress was a gem - honestly, she was so kind to the kids and I and efficient but not short. She is an absolute asset to P.D.

Our drinks came quickly as did the kids food (she asked if I'd like the kids meas first - absolutely!). My youngest all but inhaled his spaghetti - it was simple and delicious. My oldest has the kitty pizza and while smarties on pizza seems unappealing to me, he loved it!

I got the steak and cheese nanwhich. While a little bit too salty, it was delicious and really juicy. The garlic fingers though stole the show. They left me wishing I had got a larger size.

Garlic fingers are easy to make 'okay' but good garlic fingers are rare. These were amazing.

The only thing I didn't care for was the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. It was lacking the creamy cheesecake texture and crumbled apart. It was okay but I'd pass on dessert next time.

Our bill was around 45$ and was absolutely worth it. As we left, more locals started trickling in and they all seemed as content as we were. Pizza Delight may not be gourmet but it's got comfort food down.

It was a good meal and definitely left me planning to come back when we drive...

We arrived in Turo Nova Scotia, from Ontario and we're famished. We called this location of Pizza Delight and placed an order for delivery to our motel room. When we got our food it was cold. Upon opening our Chicken Alfredo we saw one with no cheese and manly sauce. The other was burnt and hardly any sauce. It tasted like something you would scoop out of the outhouse It was disgusting, we both tried one fork full and tossed our meals. $60 gone....... Second, the price on line was way less than charged...... Overall Avoid this restaurant. It was like driving down the highway, opening the window and throwing out 3 twenty dollar bills....gone, and nothing to show for it. Please avoid this Restaurant at all times. In closing let me say that the delivery person was very nice, can't fault him, he didn't cook this sloppy. Update**""" No one has contacted us to settle this horrible meal..
